Billionaire Finally Realizes 7-year-old Tale About Trump Is a Lie

Just as it’s “garbage in, garbage out” with a computer, feeding incorrect data (lies) to the population has serious consequences. After all, how can people make correct judgments about what politicians and policies to support — i.e., civilization-preserving decisions — if they’re being fed misinformation about those politicians and policies?

And, boy, the lies do fly fast and furious, too. A good example is how a prominent billionaire, a Ph.D. physicist, and a Substack investment writer confess that they’ve just discovered the truth about the anti-President Trump “very fine people” hoax.

Heard About the European “Far Right”? How About Unicorns?

The side that defines the vocabulary of a debate, wins the debate. So goes the theme of an old book I’ve often cited, The Tyranny of Words. Examples would be if the media routinely called pro-gun-control people “anti-freedom” or pro-abortion individuals “pro-death.”

Mainstream journalists don’t do that, of course — but they do use corresponding language to describe conservatives. Just consider headlines about the recent European parliamentary elections:

Seriously? L.A. Removes “Homophobic” “No U-turn” Signs

First we had Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg talking about “racist roads.” Then we had the city of Oakland, California, remove traffic lights because public officials were unwilling to stop thieves from stealing copper from them. Now there’s yet another indication of what many consider our descent into idiocracy and social decay:

Los Angeles has removed “homophobic” “no u-turn” signs.

Well, it’s good to see elected representatives being about the people’s business.

White Girl Paid a Lot: Caitlin Clark’s Woes in Racialized America

Caitlin Clark would assuredly just like to play basketball. Unfortunately for the WNBA standout, however, focus on the game has been subordinated to racial games in an America in which everything is now about identity politics.

Because of this, some may say the WNBA is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Clark, much touted as one of the greatest female collegiate players of all time, could be the WNBA’s ticket to success. The league has been losing approximately $10 million annually every year since its 1997 launch, and only exists because the NBA subsidizes it financially. But instead of welcoming Clark as someone who could perhaps do for women’s basketball what Tiger Woods did for golf — greatly increase the sport’s fan base and earnings — some of her fellow players have signaled that she’s less than welcome in their sisterhood.

WaPo Warning: If Trump Wins, We’ll No Longer Have the “Experts” in Charge

“I would rather be governed by the first 2,000 people in the telephone directory,” wrote the late William F. Buckley in 1961, “than by the Harvard University faculty.” It might be wise bearing this in mind in light of warning just issued by The Washington Post:

If Trump is re-elected, states the paper’s Karen Tumulty, he’s going to rob us of “Harvard-faculty governance.”

Green-nightmare Discovery: Fracking Wastewater Contains Crucial “Net-zero-tech” Metal

What happens when greentopian dogma meets discovery? We’re about to learn this with a finding that could send depressed environmentalists running for the lithium — and away from it.

That is, the discovery is that fracking wastewater contains massive amounts of lithium, an element necessary for the so-called “net-zero” technology of which greentopians are so fond. These ideologues find themselves facing a dilemma, however, because fracking is anathema to them.

Gotcha? Secret Alito Tapes Make the Justice Look Good, the Media Bad

Projection is a fascinating phenomenon. Certain people, ascribing to others the darkness pervading their own souls, are just certain that everyone is hiding skeletons and some secret life — it just has to be uncovered, is all. So perhaps the disappointment was profound when, after a hacker stole then-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s emails in 2008, they revealed that she was in private the same person as in public.

And now, 16 years later, a similar thing has happened with Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito (and Chief Justice John Roberts). After an activist who believes America may become a “Christian theocracy” secretly recorded the two justices at the Supreme Court Historical Society’s annual dinner on June 3, hoping to maneuver the men into damning admissions, the media sank its teeth into Alito’s responses. Professor Wants to Commit “Genocide” Against Western Civilization

Westerners used to believe they were heirs to the greatest civilization to ever grace God’s green Earth. They then descended into a culturally relativistic mentality stating, “Who’s to say one civilization is better than another?” The next transition was a cynical, “Meh, we’re not so hot.” Then there was the full-bore hatred of Marxist and other left-wing revisionists who claimed the West was exploitative and inspired sentiments such as the ’80s chant, “Hey hey, ho ho, Western Civ has got to go.” But now, under an Oxford professor’s theory, it doesn’t have to go.

Because it doesn’t exist in the first place.
