• USA Today: Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports Is a Bigoted “Sham”

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

USA Today, some may say, is so yesterday. This may be especially true now that the paper has published an op-ed in which it states that opposition to having men in women’s sports is a sham driven by “bigotry … hate, fear and ignorance” — and that we should focus on yesterday’s feminists’ agenda.

“Don’t be fooled by the people who screech about ‘fairness,’” screeches USA Today writer Nancy Armour, who donned her literary armour (a nod to British spelling) and unsheathed her not-quite-mightier-than-the-sword pen after ESPN’s Samantha Ponder gave her something to ponder and piqued her puerile passions. (Eat your heart out, Peter Piper.)

At issue is a tweet (below) in which Ponder mentioned her recently expressed opposition to having MUSS (Made-up Sexual Status, aka “transgender”) males compete in females’ sports.

  • Captain Obvious? Study: Using Strange “Gender” Pronouns Will Cost You Jobs

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

It’s not just that thinking you can have your very own pronouns is a bit self-centered. It’s also that, new research shows, using “non-binary” pronouns on job applications reduces your chances of being hired.

Conducted by Business.com, the study had three phases.

  • Jane Fonda: White Men Cause the Climate Crisis; “Arrest and Jail” Them

    Jane-Fonda-05.29.23By Selwyn Duke

“Wisdom doesn’t always come with age,” the saying goes — “sometimes age just shows up all by itself.” Critics could thus lament with news that actress Jane Fonda, 85, has again confirmed her status as a notorious left-wing activist. Unlike with her anti-Vietnam-war activities, however, which untold numbers of veterans say amounted to treason, Fonda appears to have little to say about today’s fashionable wars (e.g., Ukraine involvement). Instead, she’s warring against Western prosperity, white people, and what she calls the “patriarchy.”

In fact, at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, the actress blamed white men and racism for climate change.

What’s more, she said that the white men responsible for it should be arrested and jailed.

  • Diversity’s Blessings: Rival Somali Factions Riot, Ending Minneapolis City Council Convention

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

When hearing about rival Somali political factions rioting, one might assume the event occurred in Somalia, where political violence is the norm. But the mayhem in question actually was in Minneapolis, where, increasingly, being Somali is the norm. (Apparently, “Minnesota nice” hasn’t rubbed off.)

  • Latest Attack on Christianity: Forgiveness Is BAD, a “Religious Construct”

    HandsClaspedinPrayerBy Selwyn Duke

Seldom do our society’s Christophobes come up with anything new when attacking the object of their ire. Yet this rare occurrence might just have happened, in what can rightly be described as a jump-the-shark version of anti-Christian criticism: an attack on forgiveness.

At issue is a Monday Independent article titled “Miriam Toews: ‘Forgiveness is a religious construct, a means of maintaining the status quo.’” Toews, apparently, is a Canadian novelist of some repute who, having been raised in a Mennonite community, is still at close to 60 years old in a teenage rebellion phase.

  • My Appearance on TNA TV: Entertainment’s Corruptive Effects — 5/24/23

    By Selwyn Duke

We discussed the gradual diminution of entertainment heroes' virtue. My appearance begins at 29:26. Here is the essay (I believe one of the more important ones I've written) referenced in the video: Where Have You Gone, George Washington? – The New American

  • Report: The Democrats Will STEAL ’24 Election as They Did 2020’s, Unless….

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

There’s much talk about who the 2024 Republican presidential nominee should be. Would Donald Trump pass voter muster? Florida governor Ron DeSantis? Someone else? Who can win?

The answer is, well, no one — according to a new report.

That is, unless Republicans radically change how they approach swing-state politics. This is for a simple reason, avers Jay Valentine, a fractal technology expert with electoral integrity entity Project Omega:

Maintaining the status quo ensures that the swing states in 2024 will swing only one way — towards vote fraud.

  • Study: Devoted Leftists Often Are Narcissists and Psychopaths

    Demonic GirlBy Selwyn Duke

It’s well known that left-wing Soviet leader Joseph Stalin was a psychopath, a dark status that led to his exterminating 20 million human beings. Yet the people who help vault such tyrants to power — sometimes pejoratively called “useful idiots” — are well-meaning but naive sorts, right? Perhaps not always.

In fact, a new study informs, Stalin has much psychopathic (and narcissistic) company among leftists, including among today’s variety. Moreover, the researchers found that authoritarian-minded left-wingers often don’t care a whit about the altruism and “social justice” they trumpet, but instead “use political activism to endorse or exercise violence against others to satisfy their own ego-focused needs.”

  • Schoolteacher: White People “Problematic,” Education “Racist” — “Start a Riot”

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

If the “teaching in school today will become the politics of tomorrow,” as the apocryphal saying goes, there’s much cause for alarm. A case in point is a bisexual Nevada middle school teacher who claims that white people are “problematic,” education is “inherently racist,” and that our response should be to “start a riot.”

The only saving grace with “educator” Jennifer Leja, of Hyde Park Middle School in the Clark County district, is that she’s not exactly subtle. In fact, reported Fox News last Thursday, in a series of TikTok videos, the teacher sang “start a riot” in support of the following propositions (as presented by Fox):

    • "Dress codes are sexist"
    • "Education is inherently racist"
    • "History is white-washed"
    • "White teachers are problematic"

Though white herself, Leja nonetheless castigated….

  • Bud Light (in the Brain?) Launches Camouflage Bottle to Battle “Trans” Controversy

    Failure FigureBy Selwyn Duke

A simple rule of life is that when you’re in a hole, stop digging. Since this applies to marketing, too, some observers are wondering if Bud Light’s strategists are a bit light in good sense. After all, beer maker Anheuser-Busch’s (AB’s) efforts to combat the boycott against it — and its attempt to play “both sides” in the Dylan Mulvaney controversy — have only exacerbated its woes.

First AB inspired mockery and were accused of pandering by rolling out an über-patriotic commercial on the Mulvaney scandal’s heels. Now, in a similar vein, the company will “temporarily redesign its Bud Light and Budweiser aluminum bottles with camouflage print in an effort to boost sales,” reports Fox News.
