The woman some people in 2020 wanted to see a heartbeat away from the presidency has just claimed that six-week-old unborn babies with beating hearts don’t have a heartbeat. In fact, Georgia gubernatorial hopeful Stacey Abrams (D) claimed Wednesday that the fetal heartbeats in question are just an illusion foisted on America by a patriarchy bent on controlling women’s bodies.

Is there anything more evil than mutilating kids for money? Some may ask this question after videos and other evidence surfaced indicating that Vanderbilt Medical Center (VMC) — despite no doubt knowing that the body mutilation euphemistically known as “gender reassignment surgery” has no scientific basis — will happily perform it on youth, anyway. And why?
Money appears a big part of the reason, one video reveals.
What’s more, a VMC professor can be seen in another video indicating that conscientiously objecting doctors who refuse to mutilate kids should be punished.
And VMC has tacitly indicted itself, too, as it has scrubbed or blocked the damning material.

It’s not enough for “transgender” activists to control how you speak with their pronoun prescriptions (e.g., ze, zir, zem). Now ze want to control your bathroom habits, too. Seriously.
This came to light after men attending a recent American Political Science Association (APSA) conference were asked to refrain from using urinals “out of respect for” others. The issue?
“Transmen” — meaning, women masquerading as men — may be triggered, offended, or disturbed because they can’t perform the nature call in question standing up.

“Some ideas are so absurd that only an intellectual could believe them,” observed George Orwell. Making it worse today is that intellectuals are in short supply (and perhaps always were), leaving nonsense of the now to be propounded by pseudo-intellectuals. But, asserts one writer, the embrace of a certain fashionable absurdity — misnamed “gender ideology” — “has broken the media and their so-called ‘experts,’” robbing them of credibility.
At issue for Washington Examiner commentator Zachary Faria, writing Monday, is an Atlantic article titled “Separating [School] Sports by Sex Doesn’t Make Sense.”
In it, one Maggie Mertens claims that “though sex differences in sports show advantages for men, researchers today still don’t know how much of this to attribute to biological difference versus the lack of support provided to women athletes to reach their highest potential.” She later adds that maintaining “this [sexual] binary in youth sports reinforces the idea that boys are inherently bigger, faster, and stronger than girls in a competitive setting — a notion that’s been challenged by scientists for years.”

It’s no longer fashionable in the West to fancy your civilization superior and those beyond its borders “barbarians.” Yet this phenomenon has been replaced by another type of chauvinism — the chronological variety — the idea that our time is superior and those in the past were barbarians (at least if they were European) to be held in utter contempt.
Pushing back against this Friday was a man now known for being selectively red-pilled, liberal comedian-cum-commentator Bill Maher. On his HBO show Real Time, Maher criticized a chronological chauvinism phenomenon known as “presentism.” Ironically, though, inherent in Maher’s defense of the past was his own brand of presentism.

Who oversaw the movement of hundreds of thousands illegal aliens — tens of thousands via plane flights — into our country’s interior in just one year?
It wasn’t the Mexican cartels.
It wasn’t red state authorities.
It wasn’t Martha’s Vineyard mayhem maker Ron DeSantis, recently slammed for flying 50 illegals to the island to try to improve its diversity.
It’s Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., the man occupying the White House. It’s DeSantis, though, who gets called a “human trafficker” in mainstream media. And a high profile senator has now noted the double standard.

Anyone who thinks Republicans and Democrats are essentially the same ought to consider what just happened in Virginia. Reversing the policies of his radical leftist Democratic predecessor, Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin has restored some sex-oriented normalcy in the Old Dominion state:
No longer must schoolgirls worry about boys claiming to be female displaying their private parts in the lasses’ restrooms or locker rooms (as happened with University of Pennsylvania swimmer Will Thomas). Nor will teachers and students be forced to use “others’” pronouns (e.g., ze, zir, zem), which makes sense since people don’t have pronouns — languages do.

It’s easy being idealistic when you don’t have to live with your ideals. Nothing has proven this truth better, perhaps, than Martha’s Vineyard residents’ and the wider Left’s reaction to an “unacceptable” number of illegal aliens’ entry into that tony community.
That number would be 50 — a piddling percentage of the influx Mexico-abutting states must deal with due to the Biden administration’s refusal to secure the border.
That would be, mind you, a refusal supported via voting by most everyone in Martha’s Vineyard.
As most know, this blessed diversity was provided to the Vineyard by Florida governor Ron DeSantis, who was kind enough to fly the migrants to the island on his state’s own dime. Yet far from appreciating this opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with actual Hispanics (the island is 87 percent white), Vineyard residents seem none too pleased while the left-wing media cry foul.
