    “The Democratic Party won’t be in power for a long, long time now,” we hear. The idea is that there has been a “realignment” and/or that the wrong ideology (wokeness) has hobbled the party. Well, we’ve seen this movie and its remakes before. The ending is always the same, too.

    After Republican President Richard Nixon’s resounding victories in 1968 and ’72 — the latter being American history’s biggest landslide, with Nixon winning 520 electoral votes and 49 states — some observers said Democrats’ fractured coalition meant the party was nearing collapse.

    It won the very next election, in 1976.

    Imagine, as a thought exercise, that a prominent man said the following, explaining why he was purposely raising kids without a mother.

    Do you know how f****** great it is to live exactly how I want to live, to experience fatherhood exactly how I wanted to experience it? And I know the next thing they say is like, ‘Well, that’s not fair on your kids.’ Can I tell you something? That will be their story to tell. I can’t tell you. I can only tell you that this is the best way that I know how to be a father to them…. I love that I don’t have to run every f****** thing by a woman. I don’t. I love that I don’t have to.

    Would his attitude be praised?

    Now imagine that this man, who’ll be 50 next month, celebrated his “liberation” in another way. “I did just recently f*** a 26-year-old,” he says, “and it was really f****** amazing…. And I was like, ‘Oh, this is great!’”

    With the Democrats controlling neither the presidency nor Congress and having largely failed to stop deportations via the courts, they’ve exhausted the political options for advancing their pro-illegal-migration agenda (at least for now). So they’re perhaps left grasping at straws.

    Enter the religious option.

    To wit: Many leftists are now citing the Bible to condemn deportations. The idea is that if you’re supporting illegals’ expulsion, why, you’re defying God, you irredeemable heathen.

    “Liberals Are Such Children,” read a 2009 PennLive headline. “These people act like children,” the article states, “even though they may nominally have been adults for many years.” Perhaps this helps explain why many liberals feel a kid is mature enough to “choose his sex.” And perhaps it sheds light on an even newer left-wing effort: giving children the vote.

    Oh, we’re not just talking about extending suffrage rights to 16-year-olds, which British prime minister Keir Starmer plans to do. (Any guesses as to whom Starmer thinks they’re going to vote for?) No, I mean actual little, crumb-cruncher, toy-train territory children — even babies, according to The Telegraph.

    Released in 1973, the dystopian film Soylent Green portrayed an overpopulated world of 40 billion, with teeming masses enduring food scarcity, poverty, social stratification, resource depletion, urban decay, and environmental collapse.

    Oh, all this was supposed to be happening in 2022.

    In reality, our global population in 2025 is 8.2 billion, and its growth has slowed and is set to reverse. Moreover, 17-20 percent of our world’s nations (e.g., Japan and Russia) are already experiencing population decreases.

    Of course, we don’t expect soothsayer-like prescience from Hollywood, just entertainment. But realize that the ’73 film was influenced by its day’s “scientific” predictions. (See Paul Ehrlich’s The Population Bomb, and other prognostications that bombed.) Now, though, many observers recognize the reality of population collapse — and the problems inherent therein.

    And their prescriptions are still errant, too.

    It’s a bit like Scarface saying you’re too much of a thug or Cheech & Chong warning that you smoke too much weed. When the left-wing Atlantic says liberals have jumped the shark on youth “gender medicine,” serious soul searching is warranted.

    Oh, this doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. As Atlantic writer Helen Lewis laments, liberals exist in “media bubbles” and embrace “zombie facts” (pseudo-truths that just won’t die).

    It’s arguably true that agitation by organization Black Lives Matter (tag-teaming with Antifa) hobbled President Donald Trump’s 2020 election chances. This is why it’s ironic that while he’s maligned as a “racist,” Trump may enjoy a unique status.

    He may be the real “Black Lives Matter” president.

    That is, in the sense of actually caring about, and saving, black lives.
