• “Pagan Pride Day” in Our Fractured, Post-Christian America

    Pyramid-One EyeBy Selwyn Duke

Satanic invocations, pentagrams, and “Festivus” poles at Christmastime — and now the fourth annual “Pagan Pride Day” in Ann Arbor, Michigan. That’s life in fractured, confused, post-Christian America where, with people awash in relativism and driven by emotion, there soon may be as many “faiths” as feelings.

  • Four-letter-word “Beto” Has His Finger on the F-bomb

    Banana RepublicBy Selwyn Duke

Irish Bob, the man some call “Beto” O’Rourke, dislikes Americans firing off what some people (incorrectly) call “assault weapons” so much that he’s vowed to seize them. He’s so passionate about that and other issues, in fact, that he fires off f-bombs from his assault mouth to prove it. Sadly, he’s not alone in exhibiting this progressive-disgorged habit — our whole society coarsened, conservatives are conserving the new profane status quo.

Irish Bob’s latest turpitude of the tongue was in response to the weekend’s Odessa-Midland mass shooting. “We don’t know how many have been killed. We don’t know the motivation,” he tweeted August 31. Ever the profound intellectual, however, he continued, “But here’s what we do know: This is f[****]d up.”

  • Normalized Pedophilia Is Likely Coming, Says Writer

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

“Are There Enough Morally Sound Liberals Left to Keep Pedophilia Illegal?” asked American Thinker’s Christopher Skeet last week. Many would quip, and others would lament, that the phrase “morally sound liberals” is becoming an oxymoron. Others would scoff at Skeet’s assertion: that with the sexual devolution’s perfect track record of collapsing one sexual standard after another, the “next logical target, currently being implemented, is the sexualization of children.”

It may seem crazy. But remember, if you’d have told people in the 1950s that, in a few generations, homosexuality would largely be accepted, same-sex “marriage” would have government sanction, and the “transgender” agenda would be in place — and opposing these things would bring scorn — they’d have called you a nut.

Moreover, is telling little Johnny he can choose to have sex with an adult really crazier than telling him he can choose to “become a girl”? Both are psychologically, morally, and spiritually damaging, but while changing sex is impossible, having sex certainly is not.

  • Integration’s Iron Fist: NYC’s Radical Redistricting Plan to Make Schools “Equally Diverse”

Big Man Stepping on Small ManBy Selwyn Duke

“It’s more complicated when it’s about your own children,” said a liberal New York City parent four years ago regarding a plan to forcibly integrate his kid’s Brooklyn school. Not much has changed since then in the Big Apple, except that now things may get more complicated citywide, with a recommended new scheme to “fully integrate” all schools within 10 years.

  • Question for Our Time: “Is Diversity Good?”

    Politically CorrectBy Selwyn Duke

A recent headline reads, “US is becoming more diverse — and quickly, in certain places.” Whether this is positive is a question most people don’t ponder honestly because, even if they do care, it’s not supposed to be asked. But American Thinker writer David L. Rosenthal is violating this mind muzzle, asking Tuesday, “Is diversity good?”

Interestingly, “diversity” is partially derived from words meaning “contrariety, contradiction, disagreement” and even “wickedness” and “perversity,” according to the Online Etymology Dictionary. No, this tells us nothing definitive about the concept of “diversity” today — that is, not any more than does the mantra “Our strength lies in our diversity!”

  • Countering China: U.S. Warplanes May Be Flown Off Japanese Warships

    American Eagle-OriginalBy Selwyn Duke

In a move that could make Admiral Tojo spin in his grave, the United States military is now considering flying aircraft — its F-35B fighters (shown) — off Japan’s largest warships, as per a request by officials in Tokyo.

  • Obama Judge: Medicaid Must Pay for “Sex Change”

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

If you’re on Medicaid, the program won’t cover your root canal or a nose job that could make you feel better about yourself. But if you want the body alteration known as “gender-reassignment surgery” so you can feel better about yourself, taxpayers must now foot the bill — according to an Obama-appointed judge.

  • As Libs Dance on Koch’s Grave, They Still Ignore How He Helped Their Cause

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

It’s said one shouldn’t speak ill of the dead, but this is meaningless to the morally dead. This has again been proven with leftists’ reaction to the passing of billionaire libertarian David Koch (shown), whose death of prostate cancer at age 79 was announced Friday.

The anti-Koch vitriol has been particularly vicious, with comedian Bill Maher stating that he’s “glad he’s dead” and hoped “the end was painful” and actress Bette Midler saying “F*** you” to someone paying tribute to the activist billionaire. Yet if liberals looked objectively at Koch — who avowed socialist Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) once said was left of him on immigration — they’d realize he did much to promote their cause.

  • Polish Government Not Feeling Gay About “Gay Pride” Marches

    Linked Male SymbolsBy Selwyn Duke

In their 1989 book After the Ball, homosexual activists Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen called for a “conversion of the average American’s emotions, mind, and will” on homosexual behavior “through a planned psychological attack, in the form of propaganda fed to the nation via the media.” Decades later, the same phenomenon is apparent in contemporary Eastern Europe. In Poland, however, the current government is not walking quietly into that pink night.

  • Holy Firearms, Batman! Churches Arming Up to Prevent Shootings

    Ar15By Selwyn Duke

They may be full of heavenly thoughts, but no one can say they’re of no worldly good. Troubled by recent years’ mass shootings at houses of worship, some churches are resorting to more than prayer as remedy: They’re arming congregants and hiring professionals to train them in the weaponry’s use.
