Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) just implied as much, saying recently that Republicans amended the Constitution to prevent liberal icon Franklin Delano Roosevelt from running for reelection — two years after his earthly demise.

There’s big money in the apology-extraction business today, as compelling a mea culpa can be a prerequisite for demanding reparations. So perhaps it’s no surprise that Mexico’s socialist president Andrés Manuel López-Obrador recently demanded an apology from Spain for colonial conquest. What is surprising in this age of the cowardly kowtow is Spain’s response:

Its foreign minister essentially told Mexico to pound sand.

For years a certain journalist has wryly remarked “that the Democrats have the world’s most effective public-relations team: the U.S. media.” This has now been proven yet again after the Mueller report’s release and the collapse of the Trump/Russia/collusion story.

Consider how House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced a pivot Monday, stating that henceforth the Democrat Party’s focus would be healthcare and, she told the media, that she hopes “the press focuses [on] healthcare,” too. And what do you think CNN — whose reportage had basically been all Trump/collusion all the time — changed its focus to Tuesday and beyond?

If you guessed “healthcare,” step to the head of the class.

Did you hear about the Peking University course on Chinese thought that excluded the work of all Asian men, from Confucius to Lao Tzu to Sun Tzu? No, and such a curricular oddity wouldn’t appear in America, either — if it were a course on Chinese thought. An “American Political Thought” course that avoids study of all white men is a different matter, though, and this is exactly what’s being offered at the University of Colorado, Denver.

The offending, offensive, and apparently offended professor teaching it is one Chad Shomura. A student writing of his experiences with the course a few semesters back, Ahnaf Kalam, relates at the College Fix that Shomura “explained to the students in the room that most traditional ‘American Political Thought’ courses are too focused on the achievements of white men.”

Police fine Christians for praying without permission, a government paints over a cross mosaic, a church is invaded and Bibles are torn to pieces, and a man’s Christianity is mocked by a state official who tells him it is not a religion of peace. With one estimate holding that 300 million Christians worldwide are subject to violence and that their faith is our time’s most persecuted, it won’t surprise astute observers that the aforementioned abuses occurred just recently. But it may surprise them to learn that the scene of one was a Western nation that once helped spread Christianity throughout the world.

That country would be Britain, where ministerial department the Home Office rejected the asylum claim of an Iranian Christian, sending him an anti-Christian letter impugning his faith.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (shown) had been accused of stealing tips from a coworker at a bar where she once waitressed. Yet she also could perhaps be accused of helping steal the jobs, in a manner of speaking, from workers at its sister establishment, in which she also waitressed. This is because iconic New York City restaurant The Coffee Shop closed its doors forever — largely because of its state’s new $15 minimum wage — which Ocasio-Cortez supported.

The Coffee Shop was no failed business model. It was “frequented by A-list celebrities and featured on ‘Sex and the City,’” wrote Investor’s Business Daily. Opened by former Wilhelmina models Charles Milite, Eric Petterson, and Carolyn Benitez in 1990, “it quickly became a sceney fashion destination,” added Eater New York last year. “There was even a long-standing rumor that the restaurant only hired aspiring models as servers” (though Ocasio-Cortez’ employment apparently debunks this rumor).

What isn’t a rumor is that the minimum wage minimized the restaurant’s viability. “The times have changed in our industry,” owner Milite told the New York Post. “The rents are very high and now the minimum wage is going up and we have a huge number of employees.”

It isn’t often that President Trump, one of our time’s most maligned men, gets to feel the love. But he can feel at least some now that a Muslim physician and columnist said in a Saturday CNN interview that the president is “beloved” in many parts of the Islamic world.

Proving again that “the eye altering alters all,” a Pennsylvania high-school girl recently found a boy’s lustful eye fixed upon her in her locker room — then was told her only recourse was to wait outside until he was done changing.

Of course, at issue is changing school policy that allows a boy who changes his so-called “gender identity” and claims girlhood status to use the girls’ facilities.
