• Priorities? Cops Threaten to Prosecute People Mocking Drug Dealer’s Hairstyle

    Jermaine Taylor—Carzy HairBy Selwyn Duke

Call it hare-brained — or maybe hair-brained. While London just surpassed New York City last year in homicides, and while British police couldn’t muster the will to investigate Muslim rape gangs, some U.K. cops are getting right on top of a real menace: Law enforcement in South Wales is threatening to prosecute people who mock a convicted drug dealer’s hairstyle.

  • Professor Argues Against “Truths and Knowledge”; Says Math=White Privilege

Back to School DuncecapBy Selwyn Duke

Does 2+2=white privilege? This appears to be the case, according to a college professor who says that mathematics “operates as Whiteness” and needs to be “rehumanized.”

The academic making Euclid roll in his grave is Rochelle Gutiérrez, a professor of mathematics education and Latino/a studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Academia’s answer to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Gutiérrez insists that we must “reconceptualize” mathematics as her invention, “Mathematx.” This mirrors “Latinx,” the Orwellian term social engineers would use to describe a Latino person in a “gender-neutral” way.

  • Rich Americans Fill Florida’s Tax Coffers as They Flee High-tax States

    Hammering AmericaBy Selwyn Duke

Ponce de Leon didn’t find the Fountain of Youth there. But Florida is finding many new residents, mostly older, to be a fount of funding. It’s the phenomenon whereby wealthy Americans, encouraged by tax code changes, flee high tax-states and take their cash to places that won’t drain them dry.

  • El Paso and Trump? And What Rhetoric Causes the Shooting of Whites?

Big Man Stepping on Small ManBy Selwyn Duke

Ever since the El Paso shooting, talk of racism has been ratcheted up. Racism certainly is a problem, too, one accompanied by another problem: Those talking most about it appear to know least what it actually is. But try this on for size:

How about when you emphasize only the relatively rare killings committed by one particular racial group while ignoring murders in which its members are victims, in order to make it appear a unique threat?

For the uninitiated, that group would be whites. Of course, not only is the above happening with respect to them, but the El Paso shooting is also being used to demonize effective anti-illegal-migration rhetoric. The argument is that “Trump’s racist rhetoric” inspired the murderer to target Hispanics.

But bearing in mind that white-on-minority murders are quite rare and not nearly as common as the reverse, let’s ask a question: What kind of rhetoric caused the following killings?

  • Trump Supporters Clean Up Baltimore; Leftist Paper Dumps on Them

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

The Trump supporters picked up garbage — and then had garbage thrown at them in print. It’s what happens when doers meet doubters.

As the Baltimore Sun reports, “A group of conservatives rolled their pickup trucks into one of West Baltimore’s most impoverished neighborhoods Monday for a cleanup day. Loaded down with trash bags and shovels, they cleared alleyways of old tires, food containers, paper and other debris. They pulled up weeds and cut away overgrown grass. The group posted before and after pictures on social media showing their progress.”

The endeavor was organized by Trump supporter Scott Presler. He said that “the event was not political,” the paper also informs. “Yes, he was inspired to come by tweets from President Donald Trump describing the area, represented by U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings, as a ‘rodent infested mess.’ But the visit wasn’t about showing support or animosity for either man, he said.”

Such private initiative is quintessentially American. French philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville noted this when touring the United States in the early 19th century, observing how Americans would come together, voluntarily, to advance the common good. It’s how most positive things get done.

This didn’t stop the Sun from throwing shade on the charitable effort.

  • As Trump Visits Texas and Ohio, He’s in Cross Hairs of Media Assault Commentary

    Man in CrosshairsBy Selwyn Duke

As President Trump is pressured to ban “assault rifles,” he should note that no such weapons have been used in any mass shooting in memory. In the reporting on these events, however, assault commentary is regularly deployed.

Trump could also note, as he prepares to visit the sites of two weekend mass shootings and is criticized for telling the truth about illegal migration, that illegal aliens have killed far more American citizens than “assault rifles” have.

You wouldn’t know this reading the mainstream media.

  • Murder, It’s a Democrat Thing

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

With leftists seeking to blame the El Paso shooting on President Trump, guns, white people and whatever other boogieman will help score political points, a simple fact should be understood:

    Murder is a Democrat thing.

We can start with the striking statistic that 68 percent of all homicides occur in just certain parts of 5 percent of America's counties — and all, or virtually all, of these are Democrat areas.

Also striking is Democrats' devolution on prenatal infanticide. The line always was, though the savvy never believed it, "We want abortion to be safe, legal and rare." Leftists also insisted that "we don't really know when life begins" or when "an unviable tissue mass becomes a baby." To echo Barack Obama's debate disclaimer from some years ago, that's above their "pay grade."

But all that has been aborted.

  • Democratic Socialist Convention Does Impression of Mental Asylum

    Banana RepublicBy Selwyn Duke

It may seem like a parody by satire site the Onion or conservative actors, but the Democratic Socialist Convention this weekend was all too real — and unreal.

The event, which took place Friday through Sunday in Atlanta, was crazy enough to make America’s most famous Democratic Socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), look tame, with bans on clapping, “aggressive scents,” and complaints about “gendered” language and sensory overload.

In typical modern Democrat style, delegates “overwhelmingly voted in favor of resolutions that, among other things, call for open borders and endorsing a Green New Deal program,” writesProtean. But that was just their warm-up.

Channeling Lenin and Stalin, convention participants really did address each other as “comrade.” Nonetheless, this wasn’t your grandfather’s socialism.

  • El Paso: The Real Root Causes of Mass Shootings

    Religion-AtheismBy Selwyn Duke

In the El Paso shooting’s wake, evident is the same wash-rinse-repeat pattern. There are the inevitable calls for gun control by demagogues concerned only about people control, those who put the onus on whites when most mass shooters are non-white, and propagandists who blame the “Right” when most violence originates with the “Left.” It’s quite tiresome, really. In truth, the main underlying cause of increased mass-murder events — and so much evil in general — is a severe philosophical/spiritual malaise besetting our nation.

  • The Next Jihadist Terror Attack Could Be the Mass Poisoning of Food

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

With news about a jihadist attempt to poison the food of 40,000 Indian worshippers, it should be noted that this method of terrorism is an ongoing threat — and not just in the Far East, either. In fact, Muslims in Canada some years ago contemplated a plot to kill 100,000 people by toxifying food or water.
