China has long entertained dreams of being the world’s dominant power, but it has at least one notable impediment: Its population is aging at a rapid rate.

Still the world’s most populous country, the “Middle Kingdom” had a robust fertility rate (FR) of 3.50 children per woman in 1976. But the “one-child policy” instituted in 1979, along with further movement into modernity, changed this. Now China’s FR stands at a low 1.66 — well below replacement level (2.10).

How is this a problem in a nation with 1.357 billion people?

“In 10 years we will all be Muslims because of our stupidity,” stated Italian Monsignor Carlo Liberati recently. Making his comments in an interview with Catholic journal La Fede Quotidiana, the archbishop emeritus of Pompeii was lamenting Western Europe’s transition into secularism and what may ultimately cause a transition back out of it: the influx of massive numbers of Muslim migrants into the West and these newcomers’ robust birthrates.

This trend was also noted by late Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi, who said in a 2006 speech, “We have 50 million Muslims in Europe. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe — without swords, without guns, without conquest — will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”

With his lucrative climate-change agenda and predictions under water, former vice president Al Gore (shown) is pulling out all the stops to salvage his reputation and earning potential. The latest example is a spun claim that one of his (many) incorrect predictions has actually come to pass.

In his global-warming propaganda film An Inconvenient Truth, Gore spoke of how ice melt-off could lead to the flooding of low-lying areas, including Manhattan. In fact, nine years ago he warned of a high probability that the “entire North Polar ice cap” may well be gone in five years. Instead, reports are that Arctic ice is the thickest it has been in 75 years. And Manhattan? Well, it’s still dry and as all wet with liberalism as ever.

Divided we stand (temporarily)? This appears the attitude of many Americans, with a recent survey showing that a record number of us consider our country more divided than ever before.

The poll was conducted by Pew Research Center January 4 to 9 and found that 86 percent of respondents say the country is more divided than in the past — the highest figure since the question was first asked in 2004.

In a recent viral Facebook post, a conservative woman found it necessary to point out that she wasn’t a “disgrace to women” for not supporting the Women’s March on Washington. Of course not. Saying otherwise is a bit like having called a soldier a disgrace to soldiers for not having supported the My Lai Massacre.

One DC marcher held a placard stating, “I am more than my v****a.” This was clear: She was also a mouth and a sign.

British journalist Katie Hopkins, who attended the Saturday event, cited the above message and pointed out that possession of such an anatomical feature “is a matter of biology, not a political argument” — and that the marchers had no political arguments. Theirs was a collective tantrum.

In perhaps another example of the U.S. government bowing to Sharia law, an American contractor in Afghanistan has been expelled by the U.S. military on an “insult to Islam” charge, according to a report.

At issue is a letter anti-jihadism crusader Pamela Geller said she received from a military contractor named John Craig. Craig had been stationed in Afghanistan for five years and was working as a mechanical engineer at Bagram Air Field — that is, until he studied the Koran and rendered a politically incorrect opinion on it, he says.

The “green” agenda is aptly named, spending a lot of green for results unseen. The best example is a new estimate indicating that lowering the temperature 3/10ths of 1 degree — meaning, postponing so-called “global warming” less than 4 years — would cost $100,000,000,000,000.00.

That’s $100 trillion.

That amount of dollar bills, stacked up, would extend 25 times the distance from the Earth to the moon.

Before Hillary Clinton lost the election, the liberal message was that we had to respect the tradition of a “peaceful transfer of power.” Since Nov. 8, however, the Left has pulled out all the stops to scuttle Donald Trump’s presidency. One of the latest examples is how artists who consider performing at the inauguration have been threatened with career destruction.

Imagine you know a man who smiles to your face, but slanders you behind your back while stabbing you in it every chance he gets. How outrageous would it be if he was shocked when you didn’t invite him to your latest event?

This basically describes the situation with the Fake News (mainstream) Media, which, after propagandizing against Republicans for decades and demonizing Donald Trump during the 2016 general election, now is up in arms that they may lose their prime-spot monopoly over covering White House press briefings.
