•  I am Barack Obama

    Back Obama-TTO-003379By Selwyn Duke

It’s always hard coming out. But it’s even harder not being true to yourself. So, inspired by Bruce Jenner and other intrepid souls, I’ve decided to finally start living the life I was meant to:

    I identify as Barack Obama.

Oh, I can hear the cynical statements now. “Duke, your I.Q. is 50 points too high.” “Duke, you can speak fluently without a Teleprompter.” “Duke, you know there aren’t 60 states and can pronounce “corpsman.” “Duke, you’re melanin compromised.” All these things are inconsequential details, the stuff of tiresome prigs — sort of like genitalia on a man.

Given my identity, compassion dictates I be allowed to use the bathroom of my choice. My preferred bathroom happens to be in the White House. The same is true of my preferred bedroom, kitchen, living room, Blue Room, Green Room and Map Room; and my preferred chef, servants and security detail. I’ll have my preferred executive orders, too.

  • London’s First Muslim Mayor: A Leftist Who Called Moderate Muslims “Uncle Toms”

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

Move over Barack Obama. There’s a new kid on the block in the realm of “firsts”: Sadiq Khan (shown), Labour Party politician, has just become the first Muslim mayor of a Western capital, having won London’s May 5 election. He has also scored another first: The first London mayor to have called “moderate” Muslims “Uncle Toms.”

Like Obama, the 45-year-old Khan appears a committed leftist with untoward and radical associations. And, like Obama, they weren’t enough to derail his candidacy. In fact, Khan polled a record number of votes in the May 5 contest — 1,310,143 — beating Tory opponent Zac Goldsmith by more than 13 percentage points. Goldsmith’s ancestry, his paternal grandfather was Jewish, added an ironic twist, noted by the Times of Israel last year when it asked if the mayoral race would be “‘Jew’ vs. Muslim.” And in a development more eyebrow-raising than ironic, voting failures in London’s most heavily Jewish borough, Barnet, causedresidents to be turned away from the polls and cost Goldsmith votes.

  • Obama and Islam: Does the President Believe All Faiths Are Equal?

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

Is Nazism the equivalent of libertarianism? Is conservatism morally equal to communism?

Next question: Is saying all faiths are morally equal really any different from saying all ideologies are so?

“We have to understand that an attack on one faith is an attack on all our faiths,"said Barack Obama at a mosque outside of Baltimore earlier this year. This was mentioned today by American Thinkercommentator Marion DS Dreyfus. She takes issue with the president’s remark, saying it reflects a destructive and deceptive religious-equivalence philosophy stating, “All faiths are equal.”

Now, first note that Obama’s mosque statement, aside from being stale boilerplate rhetoric, makes as much sense as if an Allied bombardier had refused to do his duty during the WWII bombing of Dresden and exclaimed, “An attack on one city is an attack on all our cities!” Even more analogous, it’s much as if an Obama underling balked at targeting conservative opponents, explaining “Mr. President, we have to understand that an attack on one ideology is an attack on all our ideologies!”

  • Anti-black “Hate Crime” Committed by Blacks — No Charges Filed

Salisbury University Hate-crime ImageBy Selwyn  Duke

It was an image (shown) of a stick figure being hanged, accompanied by the slur “Nig***!” and the hashtag #WhitePower. And it created quite a stir when it was discovered at a library at Salisbury University in Maryland on April 10, with the police poised to file hate-crime charges.

That is, until it was learned the perpetrators were black.

Now, apparently, the authorities don’t want those responsible to become “justice-involved youth,” to use Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s descriptive. In fact, the Washington Times reports that not only won’t the school provide the perpetrators’ names, “citing the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act,” but additionally, “No charges are expected to be filed.”

  • Obama AG Loretta Lynch: Don’t Call Them Young Criminals — They’re “Justice-involved Youth”

    2332141_blogBy Selwyn Duke

"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.” — slogans of the “Party” in George Orwell’s 1984

Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally” transform America, and this often starts with transforming the language. Thus has sneaking in large numbers of Muslim migrants become “alternative safe pathways,” terrorism become “man-caused disaster,” government spending become “investment,” and tax increases become “revenue enhancement.” But now we have what Powerline’s John Hinderaker calls the “euphemism of the decade,” courtesy of Obama attorney general Loretta Lynch.

To wit: young criminals are now “justice-involved youth.”

  • Boxing Barbara Boxer: Is “Inequality the Root of All Evil”?

    Scales of JusticeBy Selwyn Duke

“Inequality is the root of all evil” said left-wing senator Barbara Boxer recently, while lecturing a Catholic priest about Catholicism. Boxer claimed to be quoting Pope Francis, referencing a tweet he sent in April 2014. Yet despite the fact she was reading prepared notes, she misquoted the pope, who actually said “Inequality is the root of social evil.” Defenders such as Ramesh Ponnuru have said that Francis’ words must be placed in perspective, that they allude to the evil of prenatal infanticide, along with many other things. Whatever the case, Boxer’s formulation is certainly an authentic Marxist idea — and this is not hyperbole.

In fact, Boxer’s spun quotation is a central tenet of Marxism. Marx (who was mentally ill) taught that if economic inequality could be eliminated, people would live so harmoniously in a state of economic bliss that the government could just melt away, at which point civilization would have reached the culmination of the socialist revolution — communism (yes, under Marxist doctrine, communism is when there is no longer any government). This gives us a window into Marx’s psyche: he likely was a very greedy, envious, covetous man. For just as only a person who is hung-up on race could believe that eliminating racial differences would yield a blissful world, only a man who cannot tolerate others’ being wealthier than he — and who is thoroughly hung-up on the idea — could believe that eliminating such differences would create Heaven on Earth. As Pope Benedict XVI put it, Marx made the mistake of viewing man as merely an “economic being.”

  • Dennis Hastert, Who Abused Teenage Boys, Is Just Tip of Iceberg

    Man in HandcuffsBy Selwyn Duke

It was a long time ago that former House Speaker Dennis Hastert (shown) sexually abused teenage boys. So long, in fact, that the crimes’ statute of limitations has expired. But a very small measure of justice was done Wednesday when the ex-Illinois congressman was sentenced to 15 months in prison, a $250,000 fine, and two years’ supervised release under the condition he submit to sex-offender treatment.

  • Too English for England? Bristol Won’t Celebrate St. George’s Day Because of Multiculturalism

    Religion-AtheismBy Selwyn Duke

Echoing Angela Merkel’s revelation of a few years back, a former British “equality” minister recently admitted that multiculturalism has “failed.” But this hasn’t stopped a major U.K. city from refusing to commemorate an important English holiday in the name of that increasingly discredited ism.

This latest victim of political correctness is St. George’s Day, which took place this past Saturday, and the victimizer is the Bristol City Council. To this body it’s apparently of no consequence that the holiday dates back to at least 1222 A.D., that St. George had been declared England’s patron saint circa 1348, that her national flag is based on St. George’s cross, and that Bristol itself even has a district called St. George. But what has really angered U.K. patriots is a city council spokesman’s statement that they “don't normally tend to do anything [for the holiday] as Bristol is a city with 91 different languages and it would be very difficult to commemorate them all."

  • ESPN Fires Analyst for Opposing Men in Women’s Bathrooms

    2052845_lowBy Selwyn Duke

It has been established that the “transgender” agenda isn’t based on science but ideology, yet this hasn’t stopped entities such as retailer Target from allowing men to use women’s restrooms.

And it didn’t stop sports network ESPN from firing former MLB pitcher and game analyst Curt Schilling for criticizing that very policy.

The controversy began Tuesday when Schilling weighed in on the North Carolina “bathroom bill” and shared a satirical meme critical of the transgender agenda on Facebook. He also posted a comment with which most Americans agree:

  • Coverup? After Reporting on Muslims Attacking Canadian Students, Paper Scrubs Story

    Three MonkeysBy Selwyn Duke

It’s not quite Stalin airbrushing people out of history books. But after publishing a story on Muslim migrant children attacking Canadian agemates, a mainstream newspaper scrubbed the piece from its website because, admits its editor, careful attention should have been paid to how migrant youth “might be impacted.”

The controversy began April 8 when Canada’s Chronicle Herald published a story (original still available courtesy of Blazing Cat Fur) about alleged assaults at Chebucto Heights Elementary School in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As the paper put it, “Reports of students choking, pushing, slapping and verbally abusing their fellow classmates are causing parents to worry about the school’s disciplinary action.” One mother cited by theChronicle, and who requested anonymity, said her daughter had been slapped by a Muslim boy in the schoolyard. Another, who wished only to be identified by her nickname, “Missy,” stated that her third-grade daughter had been choked on two separate occasions by a pair of Muslim boys, and that a migrant child yelled, “Muslims rule the world.” The paper informed that while school staff intervened to halt the attack, the boys were not disciplined. Missy also said that her fifth-grade son has been subject to “rough play on the soccer field. During games, refugee students reportedly take their thumb and slide it across their neck from left to right while staring into the eyes of their competitor; [sic] imitating the slicing of the throat,” reported the Chronicle.

But what ended up being cut was the story after criticism from leftist sources…
