“Unless Christianity receives a new enthusiasm that sweeps the Western world, and Christianity itself rises up against the forces against it,” he said, “the entire West will collapse in your lifetime.”

John Kasich (shown) may be the most pro-amnesty Republican running for president, but now we learn he’s also pro something else: having men in women’s bathrooms and boys showering with girls. This is apparently the case as the Ohio governor recently stated he “‘wouldn’t have signed” the recent North Carolina “bathroom bill.”
While being interviewed by CBS Face the Nation host John Dickerson on Sunday, Kasich said he opposed the law “out of concerns about LGBT discrimination,” as WND.com put it. Yet the law, known as House Bill 2 (HB 2), was adefensive measure — designed to preserve a common-sense status quo — and enacted in response to a radical Charlotte city ordinance. As North Carolina lieutenant governor Dan Forestexplained, “The giant loophole they created was that this ordinance would then allow any person to enter any bathroom at any time,” reported WND. He continued, “A man can enter a women’s bathroom, a women’s locker room, a shower facility. They could enter a girls’ bathroom, a girls’ locker room.” Yet it gets worse. WND further related, the “Charlotte ordinance said that the business community had to comply with this ordinance,” Forest tells us. “They said it was sex discrimination to have men’s room and women’s room labels on your doors.”

“Go Western, young man” is the message. Some Stanford University students want required Western Civilization curriculum reinstated at their school, 28 years after it was nixed following the agitation of protesters chanting “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western Civ has got to go!” But with the latter’s politically correct spirit alive and well, will meaningful Western studies remain dead?

“See something, say nothing” seems to be the message of the German government, and they do have ways of making you not talk. This is apparent after the Berlin Police conducted large-scale raids on Wednesday — on Internet users. The “crime”?
Posting anti-migrant messages on social media.
The actions did yield the discovery of illegal drugs and commonplace weapons in certain cases, but in some of the homes, authorities admitted they found nothing. Nonetheless, police spokesman Stefan Redlich “justified the raids saying they were maybe ‘people who just once expressed their hate-opinion,’” reports Breitbart.

That there could be a headline reading “John McCain: Salute to a Communist” certainly is a sign of the times. It also explains why the Arizona senator is the mainstream media’s “favorite Republican.” McCain (shown on right) authored the piece, which appeared late last month in the New York Times and which eulogizes a recently deceased communist named Delmer Berg.
Why would the senator use one of the rare times he pens an article to salute a man who aided and abetted history’s most murderous ideologues? McCainexplains, “‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ was my favorite novel, and its hero, Robert Jordan, my literary idol. Like him, Delmer Berg fought in Spain, for love.” Of course, to say this of Berg definitively, the senator would have to be able to read minds and hearts; instead he just read a book. And not surprisingly, he gives us a relation of history that likewise is fiction.

As our Great Sexual Heresy continues its march onwards and downwards, state governments have forced bakers, wedding planners, florists and other businessmen to service faux weddings. This is unprecedented, as never before were Americans governmentally compelled to participate in events they found morally objectionable. Yet when some project out on our cultural trajectory and say churches one day will be subject to the same coercion, they’re met with laughter; this will never, ever happen, they’re told. Yet this is an illogical and inconsistent position.
Prefacing a statement in opposition to the hapless bakers at a campaign stop a while back, presidential pretender John Kasich opined, “I think, frankly, our churches should not be forced to do anything that’s not consistent with them.” That such a statement need be made — and that it was said so lukewarmly — indicates we’ve already taken the first step toward just such coercion. Yet the main point is that the position reflects fuzzy thinking.

American student Otto Warmbier (shown) was recently seen in a video released by North Korea, after being accused of crimes against the state, tearfully pleading for mercy. But the University of Virginia student’s request fell on deaf ears, and his captors sentenced him to 15 years hard labor. And that’s even worse than it sounds, says an ex-North Korean prisoner, as the 22-year-old will face a torturous existence under Auschwitz-like conditions.
Kang Chol-hwan knows whereof he speaks, as he’s a rare individual: someone who escaped a North Korean prison camp (in 1992). As for what awaits Warmbier, Kang “described how prisoners are woken up at 5am and are forced to work until sunset,” writesthe Express. “He said: ‘We are forced to watch public executions. We are physically abused — hit and tortured. I think of it as another form of Auschwitz.’”

“Europe’s Muslims hate the West” is not a title from Jihad Watch or Gates of Vienna, but left-leaning website Politico. It could make one wonder if Trumpian immigration policy will one day be the norm.
The writer, Dutch novelist Leon de Winter, sets out to tackle a certain politically correct assumption. As hewrites, “The first reaction to the Brussels massacres among postmodern European intellectuals was predictable: What did we, Europeans, do to them, our Muslims?” His answer?

“The Devil went down to Georgia,” sangCharlie Daniels — now he has gone up to Colorado. But the matter isn’t a fiddling contest but fiddling while education burns, as some Centennial State schools plan to offer their students satanic and atheistic literature.
The materials are set to appear in the Delta County School District in Colorado April 1, but this is no joke. It’s the result of a policy, reports KJCT8 ABC, stating the district “cannot discriminate against any groups or organizations when it comes to non-curricular materials…. Kurt Clay, with the Delta School District[,] says if they are going to make literature for things such as Boy Scouts, 4H or other organizations available, they have to allow all types of information to be available to students.” So now, according to many, the Devil deserves equal access.
The group distributing the literature is the “Western Colorado Atheists and Freethinkers”…

What does it say when in two days a teacher exhausts the ink in his red pen? Since a nation cannot be “ignorant and free" in a state of civilization, as Thomas Jefferson put it, it perhaps means we face a threat graver than the Red Menace.
Apathetic or even hostile students, dumbed-down tests, often incompetent and ideologically driven teachers, Cracker Jack-box degrees, morally toxic curricula, revisionist history, the new math — education has collapsed in America. And one of the sincere educators, wandering amidst the rubble, recently provided a window into this academic apocalypse.
