• The Left’s Violence Inc.? Preacher Accused of Calling for Anti-Trump Violence

Mob Burning and Looting1By Selwyn Duke

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God,” famously says Matthew 5:9. Perhaps not saying it, however, is Pastor Steve Caudle of Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

After all, “No one likes violence, but sometimes violence is necessary,” he told a congregation Sunday, indulging anti-Trump-administration rhetoric. And such talk has, not surprisingly, sparked a flurry of criticism. For example, commentator Todd Starnes accused the pastor of “using his pulpit to raise up an insurrectionist army.” Starnes later elaborated, writing Tuesday:

  • With Trump in Office, the Income-inequality Lie Is Again Being Pushed

Scales of Justice-Uneven and Loaded with CoinsBy Selwyn Duke

Ah, the rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer. Starbucks-drinking, video-game-playing, iPhone-pecking non-workers of the world unite!

    Or something like that, anyway.

This may just, essentially, be the message delivered by Scott Galloway, podcaster and professor of marketing at New York University’s Stern School of Business. In a Morning Joe appearance in which he called President Donald Trump “an insurrectionist and a rapist,” Galloway claimed that “income inequality” was bringing us closer to revolution. But is it?

Or is a perception of it doing so?

Related to this, are the typical presentations of income-inequality statistics enlightening or deceptive?

And most significantly, does “inequality” really matter? What does it actually tell us in and of itself?

  • No, Trump Does NOT Have to Abide by Mythical “Judicial Supremacy”

Trump Holding a GavelBy Selwyn Duke

It’s an old story: When people are allowed to get their way for too long, when they’re never told “No!” they may get too big for their britches. They may develop a sense of entitlement and even become narcissistic. And proving that judges are no exception are a number of recent court “opinions” designed to scuttle President Trump’s agenda.

One disallows DOGE from scrutinizing Treasury Department data.

Another states that the Trump administration must unfreeze funding on grants and loans.

A different opinion puts a freeze on Trump’s buyout offer for federal employees.

And yet another ordered the administration to restore sexual devolutionary (on “gender” and “sex changes”) government web pages Trump’s team had rightly deleted. So Biden could create those pages but, somehow, the current president may not remove them. Yes, it’s insane.

There’s a little known reason, however, why the rogue judges in question could so confidently engage in such insane judicial overreach. To wit:

We long ago accepted the overreach known as “judicial supremacy.”

This brings us to the simple remedy. Trump could just paraphrase the paraphrase of Andrew Jackson and say, “The courts have made their decisions — now let the judges enforce them.”

  • Following the Science, Trump Rescinds Biden Plastic Straw Ban

    Straw in Drink2By Selwyn Duke

For the greentopian Left, is this the last straw? Actually, with how President Trump is shaking up the system — taking Nancy Pelosi’s advice to be a “disruptor” — probably not. But an executive order he signed today will perhaps ensure that we don’t have our last straw. That is, our last plastic one.

The order reverses the Biden administration ban on so-called “single-use” plastics in the federal government. While Biden’s order, announced last summer, applied to plastic cutlery and packaging as well, the straws received the most attention. The kicker:

The prohibition surely did nothing to improve the environment.

  • Canada as 51st State Would Provide U.S. With a Certain Abundant Resource: LEFTISM

Globe With Canada as StateBy Selwyn Duke

Rightist President Donald Trump and uber-left-wing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau don’t have much in common. But there’s one area where they’re wholly aligned.

They both agree that Trump is serious about making the Great White North the 51st state.

The president made his northern ambitions clear during a Super Bowl pre-show interview on Sunday. When asked by Fox News’ Bret Baier if his talk of absorbing Canada is “a real thing,” he answered “Yeah, it is.” Trudeau also said it was “a real thing” at a recent closed-door meeting with business and labor leaders. But would it be a wise thing?

Certainly, analysts say, it would benefit Canada economically, at least over the short term. And the U.S. would have access to the nation’s vast natural resources. There are political implications, too, however, because Canada is “rich” in another resource: left-wing voters.

Without question, making Canada the 51st state would pull the U.S. “left.” Moreover, making each of the country’s 10 provinces and three territories states — perhaps more likely under an annexation scenario — could make us Vermont with a Seattle chaser. Let’s break down the electoral realities and illuminate the topic.

  • The Left Keeps Underestimating Trump; Meanwhile, the Dems Are “in a Body Bag”

Back to School DuncecapBy Selwyn Duke

“They misunderestimated me,” then-President-elect George W. Bush famously said about his political opponents after his 2000 election victory. While it’s perhaps easy underestimating someone so prone to malapropisms and mangling syllables, “Dubya” was right. There’s a lesson there, too — one that, more than a generation later, the Democrats still haven’t learned.

Just consider President Donald Trump. The Left, and the GOPE, laughed and laughed and laughed at him — and then laughed some more. They’re still laughing. But the laughter has now taken on a crazy, plaintive character, reminiscent of a man in a straitjacket and rubber room rocking back and forth and, amid sobs, breaking out in intermittent, maniacal cachinnation, as he blocks out a reality he cannot accept.

  • Booting Beelzebub: Trump Targets Anti-Christian Bias in Government

    American Eagle-OriginalBy Selwyn Duke

Christians “should be eradicated without hesitation or remorse.” So remarked an “elite” respondent years ago in a sociological study that documented anti-Christian bigotry in the United States. And just this week, too, we heard that the Idaho National Guard allegedly has a “no Christians in command” policy. But the man in command of our executive branch, President Donald Trump, has resolved to end such prejudice. At least, that is, in the federal government. Per USA Today:

  • The Pinocchio Party? The “Anti-disinformation” Left Can’t Stop Lying

    PinnochioBy Selwyn Duke

There’s an old joke, the butt of which changes depending on the time and its personalities. But it could be rendered like this: “How do you know when leftists are lying?”

Answer: “Their lips will be moving.”

(Unless they’re ventriloquists, I suppose, and have a puppet not named Joe Biden.)

  • USAID Is History’s “Largest Criminal Fraud Operation,” and Here’s a SHOCKING List of Abuses

Map of the World-Fraud2By Selwyn Duke

Ponder the following examples of your tax money at work. USAID, the U.S. Agency for International Development, paid almost $2 million to empower “transgender” organizations in Guatemala. It spent about $1.5 million to promote the “LGBTQ+ diversity” agenda in Serbia. It also reportedly allowed at least $151 million in aid money to go to terrorists in Gaza and the West Bank. Here’s what’s even worse, too:

Far from being anomalies, this reflects long-standing USAID abuses.

Moreover, if you want to know why the Left has been so politically and culturally powerful for so long, part of the reason is that entities such as USAID have been funding hard-left causes for decades — again, with money extracted from Americans at, metaphorically speaking, the end of a gun. And wait till you see the short list, farther down below, of the organization’s malevolent use of those funds.

  • The Beast Lives On: DEI Is ALREADY Being Rebranded

    MonsterBy Selwyn Duke

Just two weeks ago I warned, to echo Mark Twain, that rumors of DEI’s death are greatly exaggerated. While “the label ‘DEI’ is new, the product it identifies is more than half a century old,” I stated. … And make no mistake, its predicates are still embedded in our culture.”

For this reason, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) will “live on under a different guise,” I later added. For “it’s as much a symptom as a cause.” This brings us to a headline the New York Post ran just this weekend.

“No ‘death’ for diversity,” it reads: “How DEI is being rebranded — not disbanded.”

    Well, that didn’t take long.

In fact, perhaps the social-engineering leviathan deserves credit. It turns out that by the time I’d written my piece, January 21, DEI had already been busy shape-shifting.
