• Party of Weird: Biden’s Bizarre Twist on Title IX Takes Effect Today

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

“‘When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’” — Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass

As humans, who cannot communicate telepathically, we as a rule will use our common language with its widely agreed-upon terms; we also won’t engage in selective alteration of definitions. And if someone did say his dog could join your county fair frog race because “dog” now means “frog” — even though he’s satisfied with “dog” meaning “dog” when entering his pooch in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show — you’d probably size him up for a straitjacket. Yet such Humpty Dumptys do lurk among us.

Enter the Biden administration and its new Title IX “rule,” based on the claim that “sex” means “gender.”

  • Biden’s Open Border Is Hastening the “South Africanization” of U.S.

Migrants Streaming Across BorderBy Selwyn Duke

If you believe that, as a writer puts it today, “failure is the plan,” a new report won’t surprise you. It warns that the type of violence witnessed in South Africa and Mexico — and that has reached our shores — is poised to get far worse. After all, our federal and many state governments privilege illegal aliens over Americans while coddling crooks and hamstringing cops and good citizens. What’s more, criminals, many of whom are reportedly illegals, are going high-tech:

As in South Africa and Mexico, they’re using “signal jammers” to prevent their victims from being able to call the police for help.

  • Report: Kamala Harris Is a Horrible Person

    Snake and AppleBy Selwyn Duke

When hearing about a powerful person who wouldn’t let underlings look him in the eye, you might think of Egyptian pharaohs, Chinese emperors, or any ancient potentate claiming god status. You probably wouldn’t associate such imperiousness with a 2024 presidential candidate, but, says a lifelong Democrat and ex-office holder, this is precisely what Kamala Harris demanded of her junior staff while California’s attorney general.

That man, Terry McAteer, ought to know, too: His son worked for Harris for part of a summer as an intern.

    Boss From Hell

Coming from a family of Democrats, McAteer has every reason to be sympathetic to Harris. His father, J. Eugene McAteer, had been a Democratic San Francisco supervisor; McAteer then followed in his dad’s footsteps, being elected Nevada County schools superintendent for six four-year terms.

Given this pedigree, it’s not surprising that his son, Gregory, felt a passion for politics as well. Facilitating this, McAteer helped his son secure an unpaid summer internship, and Gregory wound up at Harris’s attorney general’s office. It would be an experience the young man would never forget.

  • Let Them Eat Sweat: No AC for Olympians, Said French Greenies

    4531712e-9c53-407c-b52c-f85f7686341eBy Selwyn Duke

“Fish and guests start to stink in three days,” goes the old epigram — but not if French Olympic organizers bent on surrendering to summer heat have their way.

That is, since they wouldn’t provide the athletes they’re hosting air conditioning, citing greentopian priorities, the competitors may stink after one night’s fitful sleep.

Two years ago, athletes complained about no internet, dirty rooms, and subpar food at the Winter Olympics in Beijing. But the Paris Olympics, which already shocked the world with an anti-Christian opening ceremony featuring an offensive Last Supper parody, is apparently looking to make such standards status quo.

  • Does Christian Fundamentalism “Infect” Our Schools?

    Church-MajesticBy Selwyn Duke

As if cuing ominous music, we hear incessant warnings today about “Christian nationalism” and “fundamentalism.” We’re supposed to fear these forces and, in particular, their alleged inroads into education. In fact, as the Los Angeles Times writes this week, this phenomenon threatens to “destroy” our schools and transform us “from a democracy to a theocracy.”

Why, if students hear about God at all, they just may get the crazy idea that government is not their highest power.

  • Sugar and Spice? Tucker Carlson Says Female Leaders More Bloodthirsty Than Men

    Female SoldierBy Selwyn Duke

“Sugar and spice and everything nice; That’s what little girls are made of,” goes the old Romantic Period poem. Grown women are characterized differently, the work holds, and female leaders? Poem author Robert Southey didn’t say.

But pundit Tucker Carlson just did.

In fact, he stated while addressing the notion that “women in charge” would yield a more peaceful world that the exact “opposite” appears true.

  • Incredulity: Author Asks, Are Kamala’s Supporters “Crazy”?

    3746ed46-e1dd-4a6d-84e6-d1cc478c7bf9By Selwyn Duke

“People often ask, ‘Where are all the leaders?’ But it’s the wrong question. They should instead ask, ‘Where are all the followers?’”

This statement, which I made on a radio show many years ago, mirrors the old aphorism, “People get the government they deserve.” It also is essentially what’s lamented by an author who asks about Kamala Harris’s supporters: “Are these people crazy?”

  • A Feminazi South of the Border?

    Female SoldierBy Selwyn Duke

Sweden long ago became the world’s first officially “feminist” government. Will it now be followed by what some might think is, outside the Islamic world, the unlikeliest of places: Mexico? This may be the case if its president-elect, ex-academic Claudia Sheinbaum, has her way.

    Focus on Feminism

In fact, while Sheinbaum — a radical who reportedly supported Colombian revolutionary-socialist guerrilla movement M-19 — will preside over a dysfunctional narco-state in psychopathic cartels’ grip, she has made clear that her priorities are more Gloria Steinem than Eliot Ness.

  • MSNBC’s Revisionist History About JD Vance and America’s Failed Wars

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

It has been pointed out that during our history, it is Democrats who’ve gotten us involved in most of our wars. They’ve also had a strong hand, to say the least, in sparking our failed ones. This didn’t stop MSNBC from claiming otherwise in a hit piece on GOP vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance.

    MSNBC’s Revisionist History

Written by one Alexander Nazaryan and titled “JD Vance’s revisionist history about who launched America’s failed wars,” the issue is actually MSNBC’s revisionist history about our failed wars and Vance’s Republican National Convention (RNC) speech.

Nazaryan also repeats an “agreed upon myth,” to quote Napoleon’s theory of history, about weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in Iraq that absolutely should be addressed.
