Obama Communications Director Anita Dunn: Mao Tse-tung “Favorite Philosopher”

So here is White House Communications Director Anita Dunn saying that Mao Tse-tung is one of her two "favorite philosophers." She then quotes him and holds him up as a role model for the students to whom she is speaking.

Well, what can I say? Is anybody listening? Anyone? Anywhere? Is this the kind of thing those of you on the left defend? Does it at all matter to you that Barack Obama has friends, allies and appointees who are avowed communists? Do you care that this appointee, Dunn, admires someone who murdered more people than Hitler?

Dunn also has a very strange and annoying habit of licking her lips noticeably and gratuitously every five seconds or so. This is definitely not a psychologically healthy woman.

Getting back to the rest of you on the left, you'd better think very carefully about whom you're supporting and why. Not only are you sowing the seeds of your own destruction, but when history is finally written, you won't be remembered kindly.

Choose wisely.

Guest Piece: The Long, Grey Line

We’ve all heard of the “Thin Blue Line.” It suggests a thin line of
policemen in blue uniforms is all that stands between civilized society
and the chaos of predators descending upon us. It is also a term used
to express a sense of “brotherhood” that exists between police
officers.

There are other lines… thin lines that stand between society and
other forms of chaos. I remember a movie about West Point cadets that
referred to the military as The Long Grey Line.

If Rush Can’t, Who Can?

Disallowing Rush Limbaugh from buying into the St. Louis Rams is just
the latest example of how the conservative is quickly becoming today’s
pariah.

In 1950, Senator Joe McCarthy began the anti-communist crusade that
would eventually make him a notorious public figure. Along with the
House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA) (with which he
actually had no direct involvement), he took on the task of
investigating communists who, in typical Gramscian style, occupied
positions of influence in American society.

To call McCarthy “controversial” would be an understatement. He has, in
fact, become one of the most maligned men in American history, so much
so that the term “McCarthyism” has come to refer to the practice of
using scurrilous and unsubstantiated accusations for the purposes of
stifling opposition. My view of the Wisconsin senator, however, is a
bit more nuanced. While I believe he certainly was guilty of self-promotion, there’s also little doubt in my mind that he was correct
about communist infiltration into the U.S. — even if he couldn’t always
identify the infiltrators.

Is Obama Turning Us into the Next Evil Empire?

When Ronald Reagan
called the Soviet Union an "evil empire" in 1983, he was articulating
in the boldest terms what had always been an American understanding.
The Kremlin had long been fomenting communist revolution the world
over, and we had long pursued our policy of "containment."

Thus
did we fight wars in Korea and Vietnam, facilitate coups d'état against
people such as Salvador Allende and support anti-communist rebels such
as the mujahedeen in Afghanistan. Of course, plans didn't always come
together. There was the Bay of Pigs debacle, and the covert Iran-Contra
operation getting front-page exposure. The "police action" in Korea
ended in a stalemate and Vietnam just became stale, losing the public
and political support necessary for victory.

Six-year-old Suspended for Bringing Camping Utensils to School Wins Reprieve

Zachary Christie won’t have to attend reform school after all. As
you may know, Zachary is the button-cute Cub Scout who brought a hobo
tool (containing a spoon, fork, knife, and bottle opener) to school
because he wanted to eat lunch with it.

This prompted school officials to immediately suspend the Newark,
Delaware, first-grader under their “zero tolerance” policy on weapons,
which mandates the same punishment for all students who bring a knife
to school regardless of its type and “regardless of the possessor’s
intent.”

American Flag Banned in Albany, Oregon

Yes, you read the right. Multiculturalism has become such a powerful force that we now have Amerikans prohibiting Americans from flying the American flag in America. In this case, the manager of the Oaks Apartments in Oregon is prohibiting residents from displaying the flag even on their vehicles.

This isn’t the first time this has happened, either. I remember that quite a few years ago there was a similar story out of Lady Lake, Fla. And the “reasoning” was the same: “We live in a ‘diverse’ community and the flag might offend someone.” Well, boo hoo, cry me a river of bright red tears. If the American flag offends you, is it at all possible that you’re living in the wrong country?

Despite stories such as this, the communists in sheep’s clothing are spending their time complaining about how Rush Limbaugh shouldn’t be allowed to buy into an NFL team. I’d like to see some congressman take to the house floor and put the manager of the Oaks Apartments in a metaphorical pillory.

Six-year-old Suspended for Bringing Cub Scout Tool to School

Our authorities may not be able to track down Osama bin laden, but
never fear, they’re keeping us safe from budding little terrorists such
as first grader Zachary Christie. Caught red-handed, the Newark,
Delaware, six-year-old was suspended from his school and may face 45
days in reform school for violating the Christina School District’s
“zero tolerance” policy on weapons. His offense?

Bringing a camping utensil set to school.

The “weapon” in question is a “hobo tool” the first grader had
received after recently joining the Cub Scouts; it contains a fork,
spoon, and knife. Zachary was so excited about his new acquisition — as
any normal boy would be — that he brought it to school to use during
lunch period. School officials then suspended him, saying they have no
choice because the district’s code of conduct prohibits the possession
of knives “regardless of the possessor’s intent.”

TNA Piece: Senate Obamacare Bill Could Ban Guns

The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to vote on Chairman Max Baucus' socialized healthcare bill Tuesday, October 13, and Gun Owners of America (GOA) is warning the bill contains language that could be used to ban firearms.

In a statement Friday, GOA gave highlights of the unnumbered bill
based on a summary of the legislation published recently. The pro-gun
organization complains that the actual bill has not been released to
the public yet. It is listed on the Senate Finance Committee website
simply as "an Original Bill providing for Health Care Reform."
