• Mmm . . . Tastes like Liberal Journalist — Lion Samples Daily Telegraph Reporter

There are certain things I wouldn’t do.  For instance, I just always realized that works such as The Lion King were fantasy and that it’s probably not a good idea to think you can reason with an African lion (it took me a few years longer to understand that the same thing applies to liberals, even though they exist, lamentably, beyond the realm of fantasy).  Thus, I would never get into an enclosure with a wild beast that could rip me to shreds (Siegfried & Roy, anyone?).  Yet this is exactly what the Daily Telegraph writer featured in this video did — and he learned that a lion’s conception of play is just a bit different from ours.

But, hey, this guy certainly proved he’s a man.  I just feel so inadequate now, albeit wholly intact.

  • Obama’s Speech to the Children of America

Angel vs. Demon By Selwyn Duke

Whether or not President Barack Obama’s September 8 back-to-school
speech will be “historic” as his Department of Education (DOE) states,
it certainly is headline grabbing. His talk is currently the talk of
the nation, but thus far the only historic aspect of it is the
    opposition it has inspired.

People are divided as to whether the presidential message should be
broadcast in school, and some school districts have already opted not
    to air it.

  • University Perversity: America Taking the Stupid Pill

Back to School Duncecap The only thing worse than what college students are not learning is what they are learning.

    By Selwyn Duke

It is said that our educators are preparing the young for the future, and this may very well be true. That is, if the movie Idiocracy
    — which portrays a dystopian future America in which sheer stupidity is
the norm — is prophetic. Case in point: the state of today's higher
    education.

Just consider two recent articles on the subject. One is Professor Walter Williams' piece "What Will They Learn?" about what kids aren't learning, and the other is a FoxNews.com piece
"Oddball 101: The 11 Wackiest College Courses of Fall 2009," about what
they are learning. Now, hold on to the edge of your seat, because this
trip is through the looking glass, class.

  • Michael Savage Exposes Van Jones, Obama’s Green Jobs Czar
    http://youtube.com/v/Twg61Q4WunE
Here is Michael Savage, on whose show I often appear, talking about Barack Obama’s Green Jobs Czar Van Jones. While what Savage said is damning, it is still only the tip of the iceberg. (This commentary was rendered in March, but now we know a lot more about Jones.) It has also come out that Jones has called himself a communist, just like another Obama ally, Bill Ayers. Does anyone see a pattern here? Additionally, Jones actually accused white businessmen of purposely pumping pollution into black communities.

It speaks volumes about the state of America that a miscreant such as Jones could receive a presidential appointment. This man is so radical, so anti-American, anti-white and anti-free market that his presence in the administration is no different than having had a prominent Ku Klux Klan member in government in 1923.

Jones has also said, essentially, that he wants to use the environmentalist agenda to transform America’s culture and economic system into, presumably, a more communistic one. Yet, many of the talking heads on TV criticize him in only muted terms, as if his ideology deserves a place at the table. Some of them dismiss many of his comments, saying “He said those things years ago.” It’s an interesting psychological phenomenon, really. Sure, some are just Democrats who are circling the wagons, but others simply don’t want to believe that things could really be this bad. It’s as if they’re saying, “Nah, he can’t really believe that.”

Yes, he can — and he does. Van Jones is in the grip of evil. And no good person should shrink from saying so.

“Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are,” Mr. Obama.

  • United Nations Plan: Teach Masturbation to 5-Year-Olds

Snake and Apple By Selwyn Duke

A while back we heard about the United Nations pact
that would prohibit parents from choosing their children’s religion.
Now the UN is issuing another dystopian proposal, a sex-education
curriculum that would teach children as young as five about
masturbation and “gender roles, stereotypes and gender-based violence.” And those are just two elements in a 98-page report issued by the UN’s Economic,
Social and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and which includes curricula
for children between the ages of 5 and 18. Joseph Abrams at FoxNews
    reports, writing:

Under the U.N.’s voluntary sex-ed regime,
kids just 5-8 years old will be told that “touching and rubbing one’s
genitals is called masturbation” and that private parts “can feel
    pleasurable when touched by oneself.”

    . . . By the time they’re 9 years old,
they’ll learn about “positive and negative effects of ‘aphrodisiacs,”
and wrestle with the ideas of “homophobia, transphobia [prejudice
against transsexuals] and abuse of power.”

At 12, they’ll learn the “reasons for”
abortions — but they’ll already have known about their safety for three
years. When they’re 15, they’ll be exposed to direct “advocacy to
promote the right to and access to safe abortion.”

  • Guest Piece: The Wages of Appeasemennt

    Swastika By Bruce Walker

    The
world has known for many years that the wages of appeasement are the loss of
moral high ground to monstrous villains.  During the Cold War, although
America usually kept its military power adequate to deter Soviet aggression,
the American Left (and European Left) blithely pretended that a regime which
conspired with Adolph Hitler to start the Second World War, which instructed
the Nazis about how to create massive camps in which millions of souls could
perish – as millions had before the Nazis even came to power in Germany – and
which preached as doctrine that any lie, any crime, any vice which advanced the
cause of communism was morally on the same plane as America and the West.

  • Talk Show Host Michael Savage’s Website Attacked by Hackers

    Computer Hacker By Selwyn Duke

Just recently, talk show host Michael Savage had to endure an attack on his character when the British government associated him with terrorists and other criminals and banned him from traveling to the U.K.  But on Saturday the attack — or at least an attack — was brought to his own shores when a computer hacker damaged his website by sneaking into its server through a feedback portal, forcing technicians to shut it down for nearly an hour.

  • Obama and Legislating Morality in Health Care

Morality Play in Dictionary In an effort to regain momentum in the health-care debate, Barack
Obama is attempting to reframe the push for government intervention as
    a moral issue.

    By Selwyn Duke

Just a few short months ago, few imagined that Barack Obama would
have trouble marshalling a Democrat majority for one of his major
initiatives. He was the “messiah,” “The One,” and all he had to do was
lead, and the Houses and the high and happy masses from coast to coast
would follow. But that was before he stimulated us into stratospheric
debt; proved he was anything but post-racial by rashly saying that
dutiful Cambridge cops acted “stupidly”; and accosted us with Medical
Mothra, a 1000-page, labyrinthine health-care bill that could only be
adequately digested by termites. So now, with tumultuous town-hall
meetings and a majority of Americans opposed to Obamacare, the
president is trying to shore up support for reform by casting it as a
    moral issue.

  • The Race Idiots

    By Selwyn Duke

With relativistic people, there is no such thing as a true
axiom, yet you’d never know it listening to our modern mantras.  We hear things such as “Our strength lies in
our diversity,” “Religion has caused all the wars in history,” and “Everything
is a matter of perspective” proclaimed with theological assurance.  Of course, the last supposition is
contradictory, and embracing it renders moral supposition itself
    meaningless.  Regardless, it’s natural
for man to make sense of the world by “profiling” elements of reality.
