The Threat of Islam

This is a video that seeks to demonstrate the consequences of allowing Islam to make inroads into a nation. It presents examples of civilizations whose populations are some percent Moslem (e.g., 5, 10, 25, 50 percent) and the social effects associated with each percentage. A critic could accuse it of being long on drama and short on explanations, but, nevertheless, it's an effective and, I think, an essentially accurate presentation.

I do have to fault the video's producer for having only shallow philosophical understanding, however. The narrator states that Islam is not a religion, that instead it is a way of life. But this is in fact a definition of any complete religion. If you understand the Truth, you'll realize that a person who believes he knows it will understand that you cannot compartmentalize Truth. You cannot say, "I'll be a Christian in church on Sundays but not when I do business." In fact, anyone who understands Christianity deeply will realize that it addresses much of what Islam does; it just prescribes different behavior.

Also understand that the elements of society mentioned in the video have to be organized and governed by some values. Call them Islamic, Christian, Buddhist, secular or Fig Newton values, but they are values nonetheless. And, at the end of the day, the distinction between "religious" and "secular" is largely a false one. For there really are only two kinds of ideas: True ones and untrue ones. If God exists, than the idea that He does is true, and that is the only thing that matters. And if an ideology is invalid, such as communism, calling it secular doesn't in any way mitigate its invalidity.

Anyway, I can't do this subject justice here, but suffice it to say that the problem with Islam isn't that it's a way of life. It's that it is a relatively dark way of life — much like secularism.

United Nations Pact Could Strip Away Parental Rights

If the United States ratifies the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), parents could be prohibited from homeschooling, spanking or even choosing the religion of their child.

If you’ve ever had to deal with a child-protective-services agency in a more statist part of the country, it’s an experience you’ll never forget. Living where I do, for example, within the gravitational pull of Den of Iniquity #2 (NYC), I could relate some grapevine horror stories about social-worker home invasions that would make your head spin. And here is just one little anecdote: I had an acquaintance whose 13-year-old son was required to strip down for social workers so they could examine him after it was discovered he might have suffered a scratch while being restrained by a family member.

Oldie but Goodie: Modern Man and the Wrath of God

Whether or not you
believe in the wrath of God, there is no question that the wrath of the ungodly
left is often on full display. As for the latter, evangelist Pat
Robertson got quite a liberal dose of it recently. The founder of
the 700 Club was placed in the crosshairs for suggesting that Ariel
Sharon’s stroke may be the result of his division of Israel, an imprudent act
incurring the wrath of God (Taking a gander at Sharon, it seems more like the
wrath of Twinkies).

Guest Piece: The Descent of Darwinism

Darwin was born two hundred
years ago this month. A serious and decent man, Darwin’s name has become
connected with modern Darwinism. Today the Theory of Evolution of Species by
Natural Selection has been mystically elevated from a “Theory” into a “Law,”
which it is not. As a working theory, evolution by natural selection
serves an important scientific purpose. The Ptolemaic Theory of the
revolution of heavenly bodies around the Earth also served an important
scientific purpose. Both, at the time these theories were proposed, did a
fairly good job of explaining how nature works.

Another “Obama Youth” Video
This is a video of middle-school youths dressed military-style and chanting in honor of Barack Obama. To be fair, I’ll point out that the incident was orchestrated by a teacher and was not part of any official program. In fact, it was in violation of school policy, and supposedly the teacher was going to be disciplined for it (I wouldn’t bet my life that he received more than a slap on the wrist. The story is here). Nevertheless, it is indicative of the kind of mentality that exists among Obama’s supporters. And it has to make one conclude that it wouldn’t be very difficult to organize millions of such youths into paramilitary units all supremely loyal to the president.

Also, the boys are chanting “Alpha, omega, alpha, omega!” Now, given that Jesus said that He was the Alpha and the Omega — it is a description of God — this has to give one pause for thought. After all, Obama has been hailed as a savior by his fawning minions and does seem to have a bit of a God complex. It’s entirely possible, of course, that this is the name of the students’ fraternity (the boys are supposedly part of one), but that is just a guess. Whatever the case, it does warrant an explanation.

Black Official Wants Test Made Easier for Blacks; Likens Blacks to Athletes, Not Students

What do you think of this reasoning: If a given group doesn't perform as well as other groups on a test, then the exam is by definition discriminatory and should be discarded? This is the rationale that was applied to police-department exams in the 1970s in a bizarre application of government civil-rights legislation. It was part of a social-engineering effort to get more women and minorities on police forces and is why we now have a diversity within the ranks that has given us, among other things, miniature cops. I'm not even kidding. Some years ago in New York City I saw a 12-year-old girl going to a costume party dressed as a police officer. Or at least I thought I did, until I got closer and realized she was a member of New York's, uh, Finest.

Weimar Amerika

America today stands on the precipice of a full blown
depression. International market forces are making the dollar
increasingly weak, and the response of our government is to produce artificial
demand by printing vast amounts of currency and credit. Is this America
in 1933 under Franklin Roosevelt? No, it is Weimar Germany under Wilhelm
Cuno. What Barack Obama is proposing is to take a nation facing enormous
debt and economic slowdown and to “cure” these problems by dramatically
increasing the money in our economy. This is the economics of Germany
before Hitler came to power.

Doctor Operating on "Tumor" Finds Worm in Woman's Brain

This video is about a micro-organism that can grow into a worm in the brain and that can be contracted from undercooked pork or from infected people who don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom. This is yet another example of the increasing incidence of diseases in the U.S. that had never been present, had been eradicated or had been extremely rare. Other examples would be drug-resistant tuberculosis and necrotizing fasciitis (flesh-eating bacteria).

Why are we now plagued by these diseases like never before? In general, it boils down to one simple phenomenon: Third World immigration. For example, the failure to wash hands — which spreads the micro-organism in question in the video — is characteristic of certain cultures, such as Mexico, where it isn't customary to wash hands.

To be blunt, one of the reasons why so much disease plagues Third World nations is that their hygiene stinks.

But, hey, immigration is truly great. We just can't live (a short life) without it.

Europe’s Descent into Dhimmitude

Article Synopsis: While we wouldn’t know it from listening to the mainstream media,
the Islamization of Europe is occurring at a faster rate than anyone
imagined. Not only that, the same threat looms here in America, as we
are following in the Old World’s footsteps.

One
of man’s tragic faults is that he tends to swing from one extreme to
the other. We can see this phenomenon clearly in Europe, whose nations
have transitioned from a surfeit of nationalism to sickening
internationalism, from the colonization of exotic civilizations to
inviting the colonization of their dying ones. And, as a result,
they’re doing more to fulfill Saladin’s dream than the Moslem conqueror
ever could.

Guest Piece: The Stalingrad of Sovietism

Twenty years ago, the Kremlin lost its own Battle of Stalingrad: Communist Poland formally legalized Solidarity, a labor union that truly was a labor union. In 1943, after the Battle of Stalingrad, it was certain that Hitler could not “win” the war (i.e. he could not achieve the sort of military advantage which would force the democracies to make peace with him.) The Red Army, growing stronger by the day, would fight the bulk of the German land forces until the overwhelming material superiority of America would lead to the absolute defeat of the Axis. There would be respite for the Wehrmacht, like the destruction of the Soviet Sixth Army in the Spring of 1943, but the Germans could do nothing to prevent the inevitable conquest of their country.
