• “When Did Dems Transition to Becoming the War Party?”

    Demon Amidst HellfireBy Selwyn Duke

“Imagine all the people, living life in peace,” sang the late John Lennon in 1971. The line was in his song “Imagine,” in which, among other things, he theorizes about a world with “no countries” and “nothing to kill or die for.” In this vein, however, his son may now be imagining an America without the Democratic Party.

This could occur to an observer, anyway, after Seán Ono Lennon asked rhetorically on X recently, “When did Dems transition to becoming the War Party?”

  • Are We Making Language “Funner” Because We’re Getting Dumber?

Back to School DuncecapBy Selwyn Duke

“Why can’t the English teach their children how to speak?!” asked (sang, actually) Professor Henry Higgins in the old play My Fair Lady. Today we could wonder likewise about our culture:

Why can’t Americans teach their children how to speak — or write?

One reason is that not only do few among even the “intellectual” class really care about proper English usage, many are working feverishly to undermine standards.

  • Non-white Privilege? Anti-white Racism Reigns in U.S., Says Jeremy Carl

On one side, we hear about “white privilege” and “white supremacism.” On the other, we hear that you hear about those things only because whites are one of the few groups you can impugn with impunity, inclusive of calling them privileged while treating them prejudicially. And one man who’d agree with the latter sentiment is political commentator and Claremont Institute fellow Jeremy Carl.

In fact, says Carl, America is “systemically racist” against whites.

  • Is the Constitution Now an “Inconvenient Document”?

    6a00e54eeb1431883402a30d41610f200b-120wiBy Selwyn Duke

“My biggest concern,” said Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson during oral arguments in Murthy v. Missouri in March, “is that your view has the First Amendment hamstringing the government in significant ways.” This comment virally raised eyebrows, and for good reason: The Constitution’s whole purpose when crafted was, and still is, to hamstring government. After all, when we don’t hamstring government, government will hamstring the people.

This comes to mind with a warning issued by Brian Knight, director of Innovation and Governance and a senior research fellow with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. In a recent piece titled “We can’t be a republic only when it’s convenient,” he discusses another case, National Rifle Association of America v. Vullo, in which the defense essentially argues that abiding by the Constitution would hamstring government.

  • Finally, a Western Nation Is Starting to Say “NO!” to Immigration

    6a00e54eeb1431883402c8d3af456c200b-120wiBy Selwyn Duke

People “in Africa and the Middle East will start thinking they might be better off elsewhere.” So said the Netherlands’ Geert Wilders, whose Party for Freedom (PVV) leads a coalition that will soon helm Holland’s government. The coalition has vowed to opt out of European Union rules and adopt the “strictest-ever” asylum policy.

“The sun will shine again in the Netherlands… The Netherlands will be ours again,” Wilders also stated, after enduring a five-month struggle to form a government comprising the PVV and three other parties. It’s still a baby step, perhaps, but it does strike a blow against that uniquely Western affliction, immigrationism.

  • Government Schools: When Satan Is Welcomed In, Is It Time to Get Your Kids Out?

    Satanic CultBy Selwyn Duke

Oklahoma has, some sources say, the dubious distinction of having the greatest number of strong tornadoes per unit area in the United States. One tornado that won’t hit the state, however, is a storm of satanic “ministers” in government schools, says Oklahoma’s top education official. The satanists are, though, announced Superintendent Ryan Walters, “welcome to go to Hell.”

Whether or not he sticks to his holy guns, government schools long ago went to hell in a handbasket. Enabled by favorable court rulings and craven local officials, there already are After School Satan Club “programs” in schools in at least four states, The New York Times reported December 15, 2023 — California, Ohio, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

  • Is Our Government Trying to Kill Its Political Opponents in Prison?

Big Man Stepping on Small ManBy Selwyn Duke

A judge found, back in 2021 already, that government officials violated a January 6 defendant’s civil rights by impeding his access to medical care. That hapless man isn’t alone, either. Other incarcerated 2020 Capitol protesters have alleged likewise, and now, reports hold, there are two more examples of what many would interpret as government attempts to kill imprisoned political opponents.

  • Would-be Mass Shooter Planned to Target Whites; Said He Was “Certain Nobody There Is Armed”

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

You probably haven’t heard the name Joshua Cobb. This is even though he was planning a major mass shooting, with a 10-plus body count.

It’s even though he seethed with hatred, posting social-media messages about how he intended to target a specific racial group.

It’s even though mainstream media and other pseudo-elites claim to care, deeply, about the mass shooting phenomenon.

But the issue, you see, is that Mr. Cobb’s case departs from the “narrative” in more than one way.

That is, Cobb is black, and his targets were whites. There’s a kicker, too:

The miscreant said of a possible site he might choose for his mayhem, “I am certain nobody there is armed,” thus illustrating “gun-free zone” folly.

Oh, there’s a second kicker: Cobb now faces less punishment than many January 6 political prisoners endure.

  • Can You Guess What Is Now Britain’s “Most Despised Minority”?

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

It’s ironic. Missionaries from Britain and other Western nations once struck out into the largely unknown, uncivilized world to spread Christianity.

Now, says a Scottish-born writer, Christians are “the most despised minority in Britain.”

Moreover, this Christophobia permeates the entire Western world — including the United States.

It’s also attended, though, by a very interesting double standard (more on that later).

  • Report: AI Is Shaping Up to be an Effective Politician — and a Deadly Statesman

    Female RobotBy Selwyn Duke

If creations do often reflect their creators, at least in some way, perhaps it’s not surprising that artificial intelligence has reportedly developed a troubling new skill: lying.

In fact, writes the AFP, forget about fears of AI potentially “going rogue” — because it already has.
