And one bad standard that’s ever being enforced more strictly — allowing men claiming “transgender” status to compete in women’s sports — is about to give the movement it reflects a serious body shot, contends one commentator.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, one-time Indian and beer drinker, would make a very dangerous president. This isn’t just because of her policies, which include ending the Electoral College, banning fracking everywhere, regulating a naturally occurring gas (CO2), being radically pro-abortion, decriminalizing illegal border crossing, and free health care for illegal aliens. It’s not only her complete phoniness, which is in one way actually reassuring: It informs that the aforementioned policies are surely as pliable as her family history narrative. No, it’s also because she’s frightfully out of touch with reality in a largely unrecognized way, one common to leftists.

Does a bad idea become a good idea by becoming an actualized idea and a legal reality? Syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin might ask this question about legal immigration, which she has proposed halting completely, at least for a time. Author of the new book Open Borders Inc.: Who's Funding America's Destruction? Malkin has also implored conservatives to move beyond “kindergarten” thinking on immigration and has warned of “diversity lottery” visas, which she calls “suicidal.”

The Army’s answer to Seinfeld’s George Costanza, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, made quite the statement Tuesday when admitting under oath that he was offered the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine — three times. Vindman and the Ukrainian official extending the offer now both insist it was a joke, which may be true. But it’s irrelevant.
It should first be noted that a joke isn’t laugh-inducing the third time. All the same, the official making the offer, Ukraine’s former Chairman of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksander Danylyuk, wouldn’t be the first to overuse a line he fancied funny. But if it actually was funny even the first time, it would only be because of what it reflected: the same thing it would if it was uttered seriously.

A new book billed as a “playful guide” teaches children how to summon demons for personal benefit. It’s carried by major booksellers, too, such as Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and Target. Amazon sells it as well, even though the lit leviathan has banned a work critical of Islam and one geared toward the elimination of unwanted same-sex attraction.
Barnes & Noble’s poorly punctuated overview of A Children’s Book of Demons states:
Don’t want to take out the trash tonight? Maybe you’re swimming in homework? Perhaps that big bully is being a real drag? Well grab your coloured pencils and sigil drawing skills and dial up some demons! But be careful, even if these spirits are more silly than scary they are still demons.
