Do it “for the children” is a favorite leftist pitch. As for what liberals do to the children, doxxing and death threats that have silenced a budding little social-media comedy star are a good example. The incident also again illustrates how intimidation, Brown Shirt-style, does effectively stifle dissent.

The victim is eight-year-old Ava Martinez, better known as “Mini-AOC,” who did spot-on satirical impressions of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). The young performer’s family deleted all her social-media accounts last Wednesday, alarming her 87,000 Twitter followers and sparking suspicions that Twitter had suspended her or someone had hacked her account. In our world, however, a politician cries along with them and proposes a bill designed to trump market forces and give us equality — the situational variety, anyway.

Abortion is a rare contentious issue where it appears our nation has moved “right,” rather than leftward, in the last 30 years. This is evidenced by the many states that have recently enacted abortion restrictions — which would more accurately be called prenatal infanticide restrictions — such as “heartbeat” bills. This pro-life shift is good news. Yet federal judges, overstepping their bounds, are wont to strike down pro-life laws and have recently done so. Given this, and that Congress refuses to tame the courts, is it time for states to simply ignore unconstitutional judicial rulings and enforce their duly enacted laws, a phenomenon known as “nullification”?

If you’re debating whether a runner with elevated testosterone levels should be allowed to compete with women, isn’t it relevant that the individual has no womb or ovaries, but does have an XY genotype and testes? The mainstream media apparently don’t think so, as they omit these facts from the coverage of the curious case of Caster Semenya (shown). Even more shamefully, they use the story to twist people’s conception of the sexes’ binary nature.

Leftists are adamant about the separation of church and state. But the separation of mosque and state? Well, not so much.

Case in point: A video has recently emerged of non-Muslim, Danish third-graders repeatedly dropping to their knees as they’re taught Islamic prayers and are instructed to yell “Allahu Akbar” (“Allah is [the] greatest”).

It’s a creeping Year Zero, appreciated by Khmer Rouge fans both in Hell and on Earth. The latest example is how Charlottesville, Virginia, officials just voted to replace a holiday recognizing perhaps its most famous resident, Thomas Jefferson, with a day commemorating the emancipation of slaves.

Question: Would you put a sign on your lawn stating “This Home is Proudly Gun Free”? No? Don’t worry, some years back pro-gun-control journalists were actually offered such a sign; they balked, too. Yet this raises another question: If telegraphing one’s declawed status is a bad idea for you, me, and all and sundry — and for kids in our homes — isn’t it also a bad idea for kids in our schools?

Despite this, the Gun-Free School Zones Act became law in 1990, and since then students have been nine times as likely to be shot to death in school. In fact, “An examination of 73 active shooter events at K-12 schools (at least 2 or more killed and/or injured) from 1956-2019, documented at www.schoolshootingdatabase.com, has found that these tragedies have nearly tripled in number since the inception of gun-free zones,” writes American Thinker’s Eric Laurine.

If a boy wants to “change” his sex, schools and mainstream mental-health professionals will recommend and facilitate his “transition.” But if the same boy later wants to change his same-sex attractions, well, any therapist who helps with that can be punished in many states. But now the courts are beginning to intervene, ruling that such actions are First Amendment violations — the suppression of professional speech.

At issue are bans on reparative therapy, or what some call “conversion therapy”; its focus is the elimination of unwanted homosexual desires and the development of normal sexual attraction, or the remedying of feelings relating to confused sexual identity (e.g., a boy who feels like a girl). Yet with the Velvet Mafia being like so many syndicates — once you’re in, it’s supposed to be for life — states have increasingly been banning this treatment option for minors (New York City and Washington, D.C., have total bans).

The media aren’t yet describing him as the “far-right Dalai Lama.” Nonetheless, the spiritual leader has again staked out an immigration position placing him right of political leaders tagged with that label, telling the BBC that “‘Europe is for Europeans’ and migrants should be sent back” to their native lands, as the Daily Mail relates it. He also warned that Europe could become “Muslim or African” if they aren’t repatriated.

Of course, one man’s admonishment is another’s aim. French president Emmanuel Macron has actually endorsed the idea of creating “Eurafrica,” a scheme requiring the flooding of his continent with 150 to 200 million Africans during the next few decades.

But in the Dalai Lama’s BBC interview, published Thursday, he warns that this (essentially the destruction of Europe) isn’t a good idea. “He said Europe was under an obligation to take in those who needed help,” writes the Mail, “but ultimately they should be returned to their homelands.”
