• Contradiction? Libs Outnumber Conservatives in 33 Percent Fewer States Now, Yet Nation Is More Liberal

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

With all the “conservatives” around, it’s no wonder that marriage is universally considered one man and one woman, the trans agenda has been soundly rejected, sexual propriety is de rigueur, and the border is secure.

    Oh, wait…

Regardless of our cultural drift, a Gallup survey does tell us that the number of states where liberals outnumber conservatives has dropped from nine to six.

“The residents of most U.S. states are more likely to identify as conservative than as liberal in their political ideology,” Gallup reports. “In 25 states, the conservative advantage is significantly greater than the national average, including 19 ‘highly conservative’ states in which conservatives outnumber liberals by at least 20 percentage points. Meanwhile, in six states, there are more liberals than conservatives.”

  • When the West Harbors the Nazis of Our Time

    Muslim Holding SwordBy Selwyn Duke

It may sound like inviting the fox into the henhouse, but some Westerners want to welcome returning Islamic State (IS) fighters and brides into their countries. This problem is so bad in Sweden, in fact, that one politician just said that the nation has become for jihadis “what Argentina was for Nazis.”

  • He Said to Kill People in Interracial Relationships, Yet an Airport Is Named for Him. (No, It’s not John Wayne)

    Man in CrosshairsBy Selwyn Duke

“A black man should be killed if he’s messing with a white woman.” This sentiment was uttered not in 1875 but 1975 — by a man with an airport named in his honor. This brings us to the effort to strip late actor John Wayne’s name from the airport in Orange County, California.

Those advocating such point to what they consider “the sheer crudeness of the actor’s feelings about gay people, black people, Native Americans, young people and liberals,” as the Los Angeles Times’ Michael Hiltzik puts it. But my opening, eyebrow-raising quotation is what’s truly shocking here. Let’s be fair: How can a man who uttered it have an airport named after him in 2019?

    How?

Because the man who uttered it was not John Wayne.

It was late boxer Muhammad Ali.

  • Feminists Screaming About “Transgenderism” — Their Own Demon Child

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

Say, “Be careful what you wish for” or call it the law of unintended consequences. For decades feminists screamed “I am woman, hear me roar” — now it’s “Hear me squeal — a man just walked through our door!”

The issue? Men claiming womanhood (MCW, a.k.a. “transgenders”) are invading women’s spaces — such as bathrooms, locker rooms and prisons — and are entering female competitions, taking away gold and glory. Examples are MCW who in recent years won “women’s” titles in weightlifting, cycling, sprinting, golf long driving and even a beauty pageant.

This is no pretty picture to feminists. Wizened old Germaine Greer took heat in 2016 for saying that men getting a medical procedure “doesn’t make them a woman.” Ex-tennis star Martina Navratilova is currently being ostracized for writing that having MCW in women’s sports is “insane” and is “cheating.” Feminist writer Meghan Murphy just sued Twitter for banning her for tweeting “Men aren’t women” (my, my, employing white male linear logic!). And feminist Julia Beck (video below) was kicked off a Baltimore LGBT committee for using masculine pronouns when referencing, the nerve of her, a man.

Now, I’ve produced more material inveighing against “transgenderism” than you care to know (and that I care to have written). Yet there’s something here preventing me from endorsing these feminists’ fight unreservedly; it’s a striking blindness to a striking truth afflicting both liberals and most conservatives.

To wit: Feminists are now merely being hoisted with their own petards. They themselves laid the foundation for the transgender agenda they bemoan.

  • The Crime of Being Christian, White, Male, and Pro-life, and Wearing MAGA Hats

Big Man Stepping on Small ManBy Selwyn Duke

It’s certainly not surprising that people who’d kill the young in the womb would kill them in the media — especially when political dissent can be killed in the process. But this is precisely what happened when video emerged of the January 18 schoolboys-and-Indians affair at the Lincoln Memorial.

The students, who’d attended this year’s March for Life, never suspected the event would change their whole lives, that agitators on site and in media would viciously portray them as the very face of hate.

But the boys from Covington Catholic High School (CCHS) in Park Hills, Kentucky, had to face the hate.

  • Does Cory Booker Really Want to “Talk” About Race — or Does He Just Want Us to Listen?

    Silenced ManBy Selwyn Duke

When a politician says he wants to “talk,” generally it’s that he wants you to listen. Enter presidential contender Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who recently said that he’s seeking a dialogue about race.

“Americans have created a toxic environment where persistent racism is allowed to fester, Sen. Cory Booker told a crowd in Iowa over the weekend, and the solution is to start having more productive and honest conversations on racism, sexism and other forms of prejudice"….

  • A Tale of Two Standards: Jussie Smollett vs. the Covington Kids

Big Man Stepping on Small ManBy Selwyn Duke

If anything perfectly illustrates today’s characteristic prejudices, it’s how actor Jussie Smollett was hailed after hoaxing while the Covington kids were hoaxed and then hated.

Smollett, who stars in the show Empire, made headlines January 29 after claiming he was the victim of a prejudice-motivated attack. But while his story has unraveled during the past week — with an allegation that he paid two Nigerian brothers to stage the assault — his claims were never plausible.

This didn’t stop pseudo-elite establishment types, in media, politics, and beyond, from believing a tale that sounded like a puerile, politically correct Hollywood script. To wit: At 2 a.m., on a Chicago night with a wind chill the better part of minus 20, in a liberal neighborhood that’s largely black and homosexual, two white guys attacked Smollett — yelling slurs relating to his race and sexual bent — and then splashed him with bleach and tied a rope around his neck.

So they just happened to be carrying bleach and a rope because, well, like the American Express card, you just don’t leave home without them.

  • In Ilhan Omar’s District, Gangland Islamists and “No Talking to ‘Infidels’” Rule Too Common

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

Is it any surprise that the Minneapolis neighborhood dubbed “Little Mogadishu” would seem an awful lot like the real, big Mogadishu?

In Muslim Democrat Representative Ilhan Omar’s district — which has become “the terrorist recruitment capital of the US,” as Fox News puts it — police are struggling with murders, Muslim gangs, and a “tight-lipped” “Somali” community that’s reluctant to talk to law enforcement. Officially, police say the problem is that authorities need better community “outreach.” But a prominent anti-jihadism crusader contends the issue is deeper: Koranic injunctions against trusting non-Muslims.

  • Dems Call Trump’s Emergency Wall Declaration “Unlawful” — Invasion Continues

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

It used to be that abetting an invasion of your nation was called treason.

Now it’s called Democrat Party Policy.

After years of GOP dithering and Democrat obstructionism, President Trump signed an emergency declaration Friday to allow the government to build a border wall using already allocated funds. In response, Democrat leaders vowed to use congressional legislation and the courts to block the action, declaring the move “unlawful.”

  • Trump Mocks “High School” Level Ocasio-Cortez; She Accuses Him of Illiteracy

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

In what may be a bit like a dwarf claiming an NBA player lacks stature, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) accused President Trump of being semi-illiterate after he likened her Green New Deal (GND) proposal to a poorly conceived and written high-school paper. This comes on the heels of her retraction of the GND FAQ, which was posted on her website — and spoke of eliminating flatulating cows and air travel — but which her chief of staff now dismisses as being in the nature of “typos.”
