• Gillette Insults Customer Base, Telling Men to Shave Their “Toxic Masculinity”

    Silenced ManBy Selwyn Duke

As its tagline states, Gillette wanted to be considered “The Best a Man Can Get.” But now it may be “The Pest a Man Forgets.” This is after a new marketing campaign that encourages men to shave their “toxic masculinity,” but which may be shaving customers from the company and profits from its bottom line.

  • With No Lions Handy, Leftists Continue Torturing Nuns in Court

    1746135_lowBy Selwyn Duke

It’s right up there with kicking puppies for fun and feeding kittens into wood chippers. Leftists have again dragged a hapless group of nuns, the Little Sisters of the Poor (shown), into court to try to strong-arm them into violating their religious beliefs.

The Sisters, who should be left to devote themselves to their calling of helping poor elderly, had already won a great victory in the Supreme Court in 2016 that protected them from ruinous fines. But this hasn’t deterred sexual devolutionaries bent on coercing them into providing contraception and even the “week-after pill” — which induces abortion — to their employees.

  • What’s the Democrat Establishment Going To Do About Troublemaker Ocasio-Cortez?

    Failure FigureBy Selwyn Duke

“How do you solve a problem like Alexandria?” could be the Democrat establishment’s new song — and deep lament. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), the folderol-disgorging faux-Bronx-girl firebrand of a congresswoman, again threw a monkey wrench into her party’s messaging. This time it was after President Trump’s border-security speech Tuesday night. She appeared on MSNBC to weigh in on the matter, after Senator Chuck Schumer’s and Representative Nancy Pelosi’s response, which, mind you, was not exactly a tough act to follow.

  • Assassination Attempt? Conservative Leader Beaten and Left for Dead

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

Chalk up another one for the politics and purveyors of hate: The chairman of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which takes a strong anti-migration stand, was savagely attacked recently by three hooded men and left for dead. The police are calling the incident politically motivated, which makes it just the latest case of violence directed at conservative figures.

  • Raising the Jolly Roger, Democrats Aim to Raise Taxes

    Hammering AmericaBy Selwyn Duke

If the “power to tax is the power to destroy,” as Daniel Webster and John Marshall warned, the new Democrat Congress is bent on destruction. Not only has upstart socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) recently proposed a 70-percent top federal income tax rate, but her socialist colleagues (avowed and closeted) are set to call for a 33-percent corporate income tax rate increase. Just call them the Monkey (Money?) Wrench Party.

  • Man, Oh Man: Global Study Finds That MEN Face More Discrimination

    Arm-wrestling-Man vs. WomanBy Selwyn Duke

“I am woman, hear me roar” about having more. This reflects reality according to a new global study finding that, contrary to the Media/Academia/Entertainment Axis narrative, men face more discrimination worldwide — and in the United States — than women do.

  • Death Threat Sends Bellwether Conservative Radio Host Into Hiding

    2230652_blogBy Selwyn Duke

In another sign of our intensifying cold civil war that threatens to go hot, the Internet’s most-streamed terrestrial talk-radio host has been forced to change locations owing to a credible death threat. Sent via e-mail, the would-be killer warned a restaurant favored by the host — radio giant Michael Savage (shown) — that he’ll turn the eatery into a “shooting gallery” unless it refuses the commentator service.

  • New Congress Is “Most Diverse in U.S. History.” Is This a Good Thing?

    Confusion-Traffic SignsBy Selwyn Duke

The 116th Congress was just sworn in, and much is made of how it’s the “most diverse in U.S. history.” NBC News opens a piece with “Congress just got a lot more diverse,” while back in November already the Guardian ran the headline, “Photo of new House members shows big gap in diversity between parties.” It’s said that what’s assumed is learned best, and it certainly is assumed here that diversity=good and, hence, Democrats=better. But is diversity really a strength?

Let’s begin with some thought-provoking questions. First, if you needed a medical team to perform brain surgery on your child, would you choose it based on diversity measures, on quota? Or would you choose the best?

Next question: People never emphasize achieving diversity when at issue are pro soccer, basketball, or track teams. But that drum is beaten — and anyone opposing it is socially beaten down — when at issue are politicians, CEOs, actors, or academics. (Why, California just enacted a law forcing publicly-traded companies to put women on their corporate boards.) Why the difference?

  • Fighting Trump and Freedom, California Creates 1,000 New 2018 Laws

    552042_lowBy Selwyn Duke

Some derisively call it the Land of Fruits and Nuts or even “Commiefornia,” and the Golden State is cementing this reputation now, too, with outgoing governor Jerry Brown having signed into law this past year 1,016 bills — some of which, it’s said, were designed to counter President Trump’s agenda.

This is a record for Brown’s last eight years, though he’s his own tough act to follow: Including his two terms from 1975 to 1983, Brown has signed a whopping 17,851 new laws in total.

That the Land of Fruits and Nuts is legislating from soup to nuts is significant because, while often forgotten, a law generally is a removal of a freedom. After all, laws virtually always state that there’s something we must or mustn’t do.

  • L.A. Times Admits Illegals/Foreigners Influenced Election — to Help Democrats

    Divided AmericaBy Selwyn Duke

It’s the real foreign influence on our elections — and now even the liberal Los Angeles Times has tacitly admitted its significance. It’s all included in a New Year’s Day piece about how young illegals “made flipping control of the House a personal quest,” as the paper put it.
