Would it make sense to let McDonald’s franchises decide whether Burger King can do business in their areas? This is essentially the situation created, say critics, by a November New York State Department of Education guidance empowering local government schools to assess the curricula of private schools in their districts and then determine whether they’re fit to operate.

Among other things, the onerous guidelines would “give the school district control over teacher’s accreditation, and mandate inspections from public school officials. If not abided by, the guidelines threaten the loss of student-based funding, school transportation, and even eventual closure"….

There’s a rather odd story that, as with everything concerning the man at its center, hasn’t gotten much media attention. Or, at least, it would be odd if we didn’t live in a time of fascistic corporate activism. Michael Savage, the radio rebel and raconteur dubbed “the Godfather of Trumpmania,” is poised to “go dark” at New York’s powerhouse WABC and a few other big-city radio stations — despite earning them millions of dollars.

What would the Founding Fathers have said about satanic displays at Christmastime on government property? Would they have insisted their First Amendment mandates allowing such or that something has gone terribly wrong with their American experiment?

The Land of Lincoln is now more like the land of Satan, because in the Illinois Capitol Rotunda we now “find a nativity scene for Christmas; a menorah for Hanukkah; and, alongside these displays, an arm holding an apple, with a snake coiled around it [shown],” reports American Thinker’s E. Jeffrey Ludwig. “This snake sculpture is a gift from the Chicago branch of The Satanic Temple. Called ‘Snaketivity,’ the work also has a sign that reads, ‘Knowledge Is The Greatest Gift.’”

It certainly is a great one, but it’s also quite lacking in those supposing that the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause mandates such a “revolting travesty"….

“For every one black person we will kill five white people,” bellowed the South African political leader.

“We’ll kill their women, we’ll kill their children, we’ll kill anything we find in our way.”

The comments shocked many, but here’s what’s more shocking: They’re not all that unusual in today’s South Africa.

As Gateway Pundit reports, “Andile Mngxitama, president of Black First Land First (BLF), was upset about a taxi dispute when he made the threats in a rally last weekend. His supporters roared with delight as he called for the murder of white people.”

If the government had been doing its job, Renee Luiz-Antonio would still be alive. Instead, the 35-year-old dairy-farm worker was murdered November 26 — by an illegal alien who’d been deported eight times. Luiz-Antonio now joins countless other Americans who’ve been hurt, sickened, molested, or killed by illegals — and by immigrationists who've enabled those illegals to be here.

Meanwhile, our nation’s Immigrationist Party (a.k.a. the Democrats), and some Republicans, still form a wall of resistance against President Trump’s promised border wall. Instead of getting busy with national business and building, they’re busy building political careers and, they hope, future electoral victories.

Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “should run for president and dare the Supreme Court to stop her.” So says a leftist writer who further emphatically states, “Immigrants, young people, and everyone else should be allowed to run.” He also says that the Constitution should be altered to allow this and calls the natural-born-American requirement “ridiculous.” Yes, utopia is an open field, open borders, open elections, and open minds — so open the brains fall out.

The proposal, by Vox editor and co-founder Matthew Yglesias, is just the latest in a cultural revolution that has torn down statues and Christmas displays, wants to eliminate the Senate and Supreme Court, and would, if it could, tear up the Constitution.

Yet we could tear up — in sadness or laughter — reading Yglesias’ fanboy trumpeting of Cortez.

It’s a testimonial to a divided America — and a divided Democrat Party. Its Machiavellian leadership, incoming House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and company, know that impeachment proceedings against President Trump wouldn’t play well in Peoria. Yet to not impeach would enrage much of the Democrat base and further empower the new, rising socialist/Dem wing of the party represented by giddy gaffe machine Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. So lose part of the middle or part of the base. What is a power mad Machiavellian to do?

In a way, the Democrats are being hoisted with their own petards. Their all-powerful public-relations team, the U.S. media, have worked the leftist mob into a frenzy with 24/7/365 anti-Trump reportage and self-assured recent claims, by those pundit Tucker Carlson calls “the stupid people on television,” that the president is guilty of an impeachable offense. Such a claim may be a journalistic offense (more on that momentarily), but while image is not reality, it can create political realities. The Democrats don’t want to be seen by their rabid supporters as letting a criminal president who’s a danger to the Republic skate. For then, you know, they’ll be part of the “conspiracy.”

So Nancy Pelosi, a crafty elder statesman, is walking a fine line.
