• Trump’s Decision to Bomb Syria Was “Emotional”

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

“Passion governs, and she never governs wisely,” noted Ben Franklin — and she also influenced President Trump’s decision to bomb Syria.

This inescapable conclusion was drawn by Trump supporter Pat Buchanan, who used the term “emotional” a few times to describe the attack while speaking to radio host Michael Savage yesterday. Trump supporter Katie Hopkins, a prominent British journalist, expressed the same sentiment on the Monday edition of Savage’s show. And pundit Ann Coulter, yet another Trump supporter, said it all in an April 6 tweet: "Trump campaigned on not getting involved in Mideast. Said it always helps our enemies & creates more refugees. Then he saw a picture on TV."

  • Obama’s Miseducation Scheme Has Further Savaged Minority Students

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

It has been likened to a Ku Klux Klan-like policy but was handed down by former President Barack Obama—and it has further savaged black education.

The “post-racial president,” as Obama was comically dubbed, objected to black students being suspended and expelled more than white ones, and he pursued a textbook radical leftist solution: apply quotas to punishment.

Called “restorative justice,” the idea was to equalize suspensions and expulsions by not punishing transgressing black students, but by having them “reflect” on their behavior and “take responsibility.”

  • Rogue Judges Claim “LGBT” Discrimination Protected by Civil Rights Law

    Judge pounding GavelBy Selwyn Duke

In another example of judges attempting to make law, a Chicago federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that central-government civil-rights legislation says something it doesn’t — that it prohibits job discrimination against lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, and “transgender” employees.

Writes NBC News, “The decision, from the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago said ‘discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a form of sex discrimination.’”

Sex=sexual orientation? Can a man now enter a women’s athletic competition if he says that, like the other competitors (well, most of them, anyway), he’s attracted to men? Apparently, these judges aren’t big on word definitions.

  • Ex-CIA Director Warns: ‘North Korea Could Kill 90 Percent of Americans’

    511636_blogBy Selwyn Duke

Have Americans been deceived about the North Korean threat? A former CIA director and a defense expert say yes, and they issue a dire warning: The blustery, bellicose hermit state has the capacity to make good on its threats to visit nuclear ruination upon the United States.

Moreover, the highest-profile North Korean defector in two decades saidSunday that if despotic leader Kim Jong-Un’s back were ever against the wall, he absolutely “would use his nuclear weapons with [an] ICBM,” an intercontinental ballistic missile—which could theoretically reach our shores.

  • How Conservatives (and Liberals) Killed Marriage

    Failure FigureBy Selwyn Duke

“Young Americans Are Killing Marriage” reads the headline. But it’s not exactly true. It’s more accurate to say that Millennials are picking up where their elders left off, as they put yet another nail in marriage’s coffin.

At issue is a new study from the National Center for Family and Marriage Research (NCFMR) at Bowling Green State University showing that, as Bloomberg puts it, “Millennials are lagging behind on the traditional markers of adulthood.”

  • “Tough” Swedish Cops Can’t Subdue One Migrant

    Posted by Selwyn Duke

Sweden has been completely feminized and is being overrun by Muslim migrants who will not assimilate, and the video below is a good example as to why. A few Swedish cops — two or three of whom are women — cannot subdue one migrant. A bystander helps them, but they shoo him away and the suspect eventually is able to escape and leave the scene. Have these "officers" ever heard of pepper spray or tasers?

    Really, really pathetic.

  • After Inviting Muslims in, Swedish Feminists Are Pushed Out

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

It certainly is poetic — whether you think it’s justice or not depends on your point of view. But after advocating an open-borders policy and demeaning its opponents as “racists,” some Swedish feminists are now leaving migrant-heavy areas of their nation that they say are controlled by Islamic fundamentalists.

This is all the more ironic considering how aggressively anti-Western some of these feminists have been in their advocacy of Third World migration. Just consider Social Democrat politician Mona Sahlin. Aside from theorizing that indigenous Swedes are envious of Muslims because the latter have a culture and Swedes (supposedly) don’t, she also reveled in the destruction of that native culture that never existed, stating in 2001 that “the Swedes must be integrated into the new Sweden; the old Sweden is never coming back.”

One of Sahlin’s former Social Democrat colleagues may be learning how true this is — the hard way.

  • The Great ‘Christian Terrorist’ Unicorn Hunt

    Man in CrosshairsBy Selwyn Duke

It’s amazing how stupid smart people can seem when intent on putting a square peg in a round hole. This is seen continually when certain apologists try to dig Islam out of its hole — the one dug deeper every time there’s another terrorist act.

Consider the recent London jihadist attack by Muslim convert Khalid Masood. Globe & Fail columnist Doug Saunders, proving he missed his calling as a contortionist, actually tweeted that Masood, like the “authors of UK’s other big Jihadi attacks, was not a Muslim. Born Adrian Elms.”

He explained his “reasoning” in a second tweet: “Not Muslim by background. The question is where extremists are coming from — in UK, often Christian families.” In other words, relevant to Saunders is the faith Masood was “born into,” which he had no choice in, not the beliefs he consciously chose to embrace as an adult.

Question: if a godless child of atheists converted to Christianity and committed terrorism, would Saunders blame the act on atheism?

  • With Dutch-Islamist ‘Denk’ Party, Immigrants Rebel Against Assimilation

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

What would you say about the appearance of a political party that opposed assimilation and advocated what, in essence, is the creation of a nation within a nation? It’s a timely question, as the little noted outcome of the March 15 Dutch election was the rise of just such an entity.

Perhaps “rise” is too strong a word. The party, the Islamist “Denk,” captured just three of the 150 seats in the Netherlands’ House of Representatives. Yet, it’s a striking result considering the party was formed a mere six months ago but still managed to win 205,000 votes from, presumably, the 600,000 to 700,000 voting-age Muslims in the country.

  • Trump Spurs Rise of ‘Religious Left’

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

Some call it the “religious left.” Others say it left the idea of being religious—in any meaningful sense. Regardless, stories now abound of how a faith-based progressivism is on the rise.

Spurred by Donald Trump’s election, monthly “social justice” lectures at New York’s Union Theological Seminary are drawing three times their usual attendance; donations to left-wing “Christian” activist group Sojourners have increased 30 percent….
