• The Diamond Anniversary of Dehumanization

    3019544_blog
    By Bruce Walker

Seventy-five years ago, on January 1, 1934, one of the most
insidious laws in human history came into effect in Nazi Germany.  The
innocent sounding name was The Law for the Prevention of Hereditary Diseased
    Offspring.
It was the ghastly pinnacle of an unholy theory of
human eugenics.  Darwinism – not the Theory of Evolution, per se,
but the sinister notion that natural selection made God superfluous –
liberated man from his obligation to treat fellow men as special creatures in a
    divinely ordered universe.

  • Government Schools Then and Now
    http://youtube.com/v/D0lR1KQq2-U
This is a wonderful video that seeks to illustrate the precipitous decline in American education. It points out what most of us already know: Schools long ago abdicated their responsibility to teach basics and devolved into leftist propaganda mills. Without a doubt, Johnny may not know how to write, but he sure understands the importance of "tolerance."

As to today's schools' relative effectiveness, consider the following statistic: In 1950, the average 14-year-old had a vocabulary of 25,000 words. What is the figure now? Ten-thousand words.

Tolerance? The government-school system is intolerable.

  • Illegal Immigrants Getting Mortgages
    http://youtube.com/v/Zch0gUwcPQ4
Most Americans aren't aware of it, but illegal aliens have long been receiving mortgage loans and buying homes. The above video is an oral presentation of a Michelle Malkin article in which she talks about this outrage and how it has contributed to the sub-prime mortgage crisis.

Now, since this is what's going on, we need to ask a question: How much of the bailout money is going to illegal aliens who can't pay their mortgages and shouldn't be in our country in the first place?

  • That Thing Called Feminism

    815369_blog
    By Selwyn Duke

Sometimes the apple does fall far from the tree, and sometimes that's a
good thing. You may not know the name Rebecca Walker, but she is a
woman who learned, in a very harsh way, the often stark difference
between theory and fact. She is the daughter of The Color Purple
author Alice Walker, a militant feminist who, in deference to her
belief that children enslave women, treated Rebecca as a burdensome
    cross.

  • When God is Cast from the Altar

    Scream of Horror
    By Selwyn Duke

According to The Sun, Russia has experienced a series of
murders, rapes, mutilations, and desecrations linked to Satanists.  No,
I did not say Stalinists, although, given how communists will persecute
Christians, one could be forgiven for confusing the two.  And a most
horrific example of such ritualistic murder has just taken place in the
nation's hinterlands, as a ring of Satanists has just killed and
cannibalized four teens, three girls, and a boy.  Writes The Sun:

The gang of Devil worshippers butchered their victims and roasted them on a bonfire before devouring their flesh….

Their private parts had also been cut off in the sickening ritual in a rural area of Russia.

After police arrested eight suspected members of the ring, one boasted
how they had previously dug up the grave of a newly-dead girl and eaten
    her heart.

  • Miracle in the Trenches: The WWI Christmas Truce

    Troops Celebrating in 1914
    By Selwyn Duke

The scene was the dreaded “no man’s land” separating dank and dreary
trenches during WWI. It was, as the name implies, a forbidding place,
one which modern weaponry had transformed into a moonscape on which
even stout-hearted warriors feared to tread.

The conflict waged there was dubbed “the War to End All Wars,” but it
was merely one that changed war forever. Gone were the days of the bold
cavalry charge, as a fearsome new weapon, the machine gun, made such
tactics suicidal. Other fearsome weapons would also be introduced, such
as the tank, the bomber and mustard gas. And certain terms were
originated to describe the horrors wreaked by these new technologies,
such as Anzac soup, which was water in a shell-hole contaminated with a
corpse; and basket case, which originally described a quadruple-limb
    amputee.

  • Our Bailout Culture and the Beauty of Bankruptcy

The story of the Prodigal Son teaches a beautiful lesson about repentance and
forgiveness.  As you may know, it involves
a lazy, irresponsible young man who insists upon taking his share of the family
inheritance immediately and striking out on his own.  He then proceeds to squander it on a dissolute
lifestyle and ends up destitute, living like an animal.  Duly chastened and humbled and purged of his
spirit of entitlement, he approaches his father in contrition and asks for aid,
saying that he would be satisfied to just be treated as a servant.  The father, overwhelmed with joy, forgives
his son, proclaims him “found” and holds a celebration commemorating his
return.  Of course, the idea is that he
was “found” spiritually; he had developed wisdom, the capacity to not just
    manage money, but life.

  • Bailing Out Big Media

    946164_blog
    By Selwyn Duke

While a guest on a radio show a few weeks back, a caller asked a
question about how the media and leftist government establishment were
joined at the hip. In response, I mentioned something I had been
pondering. With bailouts all the rage in Washington, said I, it
wouldn’t surprise me if the ailing newspaper industry
received one in the not-too-distant future. After all, the statists
have their three pillars of deceit – the brain trust called academia,
the bread-and-circuses culture shapers in entertainment, and the
mainstream media – and why would they let their crack public relations
    arm go bankrupt?

  • Only Man to Ever Escape from Notorious North Korean Prison Control Zone Tells His Story
    http://youtube.com/v/4LYjo81MlQM
This is the story of Shin Dong-hyuk, the only man known to have escaped from a North Korean prison camp "Special Control Zone." He was born in the camp and didn't even know the outside world existed. He was tortured brutally and forced to watch the executions of his mother and brother.  Note that this is what happens when a civilization is in the grip of an evil, godless ideology.

This is part one of the documentary; the rest can be watched on YouTube.

  • Church in State

    By Selwyn Duke

If anyone subscribes to the militant-secularist notion that the First Amendment prohibits religious symbols and sentiments in government, he should read what follows.  It is a presentation by the Washington Constitution Party comprising acknowledgments of God from all of our 50 states’ constitutions.  At the end there is some commentary.
