  • A Heroic Congressman Chastises Bailout Czar Neel Kashkari

    We tend to look down on politicians, and usually rightly so. But there are some white nights in government's halls, and Congressman Don Manzullo seems to be one of them. Here he is confronted with an automaton named Neel Kashkari, Interim Assistant Secretary for Financial Stability.
    Manzullo is upset because getting Kashkari to admit that a $3 million-dollar bonus for an AIG executive is excessive is like pulling teeth. And listen to how Kashkari addresses the matter; he does so without passion, rendering a policy-wonk answer.

    This is the problem with government.

    How is this fool qualified to oversee our tax dollars if he barely bats an eye at an abomination? Thus, I'll go even further than Manzullo and say to Kashkari: Sir, if you would look at an injustice and discuss it dispassionately, if outrageous doesn't outrage you, there's something wrong with you. You are saddled with a profound moral defect and thus are not only unfit for your job, you're unfit for any job. Your parents obviously didn't raise you correctly.

    We need to get the Mandarins out of government.

    This is a presentation on sex education that I gave on the Savage Nation radio show about a month ago. Shortly afterward, someone put it on YouTube.

    The reason why I’m putting it on my site only now concerns a current assignment I have. I accepted a commission to write an article on a new Alfred Kinsey documentary, a work that deals with how his fraudulent studies imbue sex education to this day. And this reminded me of what an important subject this is.

    By the way, give Michael Savage tremendous credit for airing such a traditionalist perspective. What other talk-show host would devote part of his program to an exposition of something so contrary to our libertine spirit of the age?

  • Reader Email – The Great American Bribe: Statehood Lost

    The Senate, Congress and
    President of the United States have recently passed a partisan spending bill,
    AKA “The Stimulus Package,” for the total amount of $787 BILLION dollars. 
    To put that into perspective, if one dollar bills were lined up end to end, 787
    billion dollar bills would go to the moon 312 times, with enough change left
    over to buy a yacht or two. Or, if you please, a five lane highway all the way
    to the moon covered completely with dollar bills.  I use an astronomical
    analogy as to gain the astronomical perspective of the situation.  That is
    a gob of money.  Money we don’t have.  Each State is to claim its
    portion of the loot; in the case of Idaho a rough calculation based upon
    population would be 2.6 BILLION, or one trip to the moon (if it were doled out
    based upon population).

  • Duke Responds to Poster: In Defense of the White Man

    Not surprisingly, my recent piece "In Defense of the White Man," evoked a tremendous response (emails are still coming in).  Also not surprising is that some of them were negative and expressed some very common misconceptions relating to the article's subject matter.  Because of this, and being that the issue at hand here is so important, I'm going to respond today and in the near future to some of the comments I've received.  And today I'll focus on a post left at my site by "Sam."

  • Milton Friedman Schools Phil Donahue

    This is one of the best two-minute videos I've ever watched. In it, famed economist Milton Friedman lays waste to Phil Donahue's naive socialist prattle and skepticism about the free market.

    Putting these men side-by-side is the greatest of contrasts: It's the giant and the court jester. The saddest part of it all is that today, decades later, Donahue is older and grayer but just as ignorant. And that's a liberal for you. They can bask in the glow of greatness and still avoid the tan of Truth. Talk about casting pearls before swine.

    Although Alan Keyes was my candidate of choice in this past election, I give Ron Paul a lot of credit for his honesty and his respect for constitutional dictates. In this video he's talking about how we cannot re-inflate the bubble that was our economy with faux currency, and he's absolutely right. 

    It is deceptive to say that the government is trying to spend its way out of the current economic morass. Uncle Sam is trying to print its way out of it.

    The sad fact of the matter is that our Federal Reserve is a legalized counterfeiting operation. To illustrate the problem, consider that about 100 years ago the dollar was worth 100 cents when valued against gold or silver. What is it worth at this point?

    About four cents.

    For many decades now our government has been printing money that has nothing behind it, and this has diluted the value of our greenbacks. This is called "expanding the money supply," and it is a form of hidden taxation since it leads to inflation and devalues the dollars in our pockets.

    The way I see it is that our whole monetary system is a sham. We need a currency backed up by more than just the good faith and credit of the U.S. government — part of which is Barney Frank.

  • The Right: Losing the Language and Losing the Debate

    Proposition 8 is still under legal assault in California. But
    whether or not traditionalists lose this battle, their loose tongues
    help guarantee they will lose the war.

    According
    to the left, we traditionalists just aren’t as smart as they are. We’re
    not college professors, 95 percent of whom are registered Democrats.
    We’re not national mainstream-media journalists, only 8 percent of whom
    don the conservative label. We’re not Hollywood types, 83 percent of . . . wait, what was I talking about? Oh, yeah, intelligence.
